QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Mar 20, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) Since when did we bring back Antonio Osuna? I don't think the roster is near finalized so it is still up in the air how many pitchers they will break camp with. I obviously meant infielder Pablo Ozuna. Seems to me the decision is easy, there's no need for 12 pitchers during the first couple weeks of the season.

Isn't this debate mute if the Sox keep both Osuna and Harris on the roster?

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Mar 20, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) Crede of '05 looks alot like Crede of '04. And, that photo you're using looks an awful lot like me in 1978.

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Mar 18, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) You are funny. :headshake You can't use that photo man. That's just not right...

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) in my opinion if an injury happens at the begining we should make Dustin Hermason our 5th starter but if it happens like towards middle of the year to end it should be B-Mac unless Adkins is lighting Triple A on fire. I agree completely. Hermanson is our 6th starter. They won't bring McCarthey up this year unless there are multiple injuries to starting pitchers or the season is a disaster. They won't rush this kid. I don't expect to see him on the major league roster until 2006. If we are out of playoff contention in September (maybe but too depressing to consider).

What's funny too is that everyone in my office is a Rockies fan and I am the only one who recognizes what a great future that team has with guys like Jeff Francis, Ian Stewart, and Chris Nelson in the minors.

Made fun of... All the time. I'm a 39 year-old practicing attorney living in Boulder, Colorado with a White Sox bumper sticker on his car. I travel home to Chicago for Soxfest every year and listen to spring traing games on mlb.com in my office. Everyone in my law firm thinks I'm the baseball equivalent of a trekky. Never mind that the team I support has been to one World Series since 1919.

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 07:45 AM) ANd watching Comcast sports night.. Contreas pitched not Garland. Actually, I believe they both pitched. Garland did give up the homerun to Helton.

I may be a broken record here but if we don't trade CLee for Pods we would not have signed AJ, Tadahito, or Orlando Hernandez. Why is this so freaking hard for these backwards glue sniffing columnists around the country to understand? They seem to understand it in basketball when similar things are done all the time. The CLee trade not only brought us Pods but gave us salary room to sign players that filled other voids. It's not rocket science. Why can't one god damn columnist mention this when they evaluate our off-season?!?!?!?

It's about time someone felt our pain.

QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) Well, Farmer's talking about Martha Stewart. And, my bad its only the 8th inning. But, we are losing 6-5.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Is Hawk talking about Knoblauch? Well, Farmer's talking about Martha Stewart.

losing 6-5 two outs bottom nine.

I feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone. Are we really arguing over whether or not the White Sox should put Joe Borchard on the major league roster?

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:18 PM) Got good wood though.

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) Update on the game you guys can create another post on who is worse of a player Timo por Joe-blow. "Joltin' Joe" coming up...

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) Is a .269 career average, .306 obp, and .691 ops something to be excited about? Nope. But, we were comparing here. I'm not advocating cutting Joe. I just think there's no way he should make the opening day roster over Timo. And, I'm not advocating that Timo is a great player. He's better and more dependable than Joe right now. I don't how this is even an argument. Joe needs to prove himself. He needs to have some success at some level of baseball before he's given a spot on the roster.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:03 PM) Why? What does timo do? Borchard at least goes out and hustles all the time. Joe hit .174 with 57 strikeouts in 201 at bats last year with an OPS of .587. While Timo isn't exactly my favorite player on the team his career batting average is .269 and his career OPS is .691.

It's funny how the viewership grows on this site as the White Sox do better in the current game and does the opposite when the opposite happens.

6-5. We're back in it.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) Borchard>timo? Not ready to go there...
