  1. No runs, only a two out single by Helton in the top of the first.

  3. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 12:56 PM) Not on KOA in Denver they won't. This isn't an ESPN station. I didn't want to hear Helton refer to the Scrubs.

  5. QUOTE(hi8is @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 12:52 PM) i cant find the right link on the espn 1000 site can some one help me out please? I don't think you'll get it over internet from the ESPN 1000 site. But, you will get it here... http://www.850koa.com/listen/index.html I know its Rockies talk but the game will be on there as they are interviewing Todd Helton right now.
  6. I'm listening to the Rockies broadcast and they're about to talk about the White Sox after break. It'll be interesting to hear these guys evaluate us.
  7. I could not be more excited. I don't expect to get a lot done at work tomorrow afternoon. If that's the lineup, I'm even more pumped. We'll get to see the new crew in action (or at least hear them in action.)
  8. I didn't mean to create confusion with this thread. I was trying to help. Since I live in Colorado, I had no idea whether or not all you Chicagoans had access to the radio broadcast. Thus, I thought you may want to know how to hear the game. I need to figure out if I can get these ST games on Comcast television here in Colorado.
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) Title fixed for your viewing pleasures. Thank you.
  10. I must be high or something this morning. Obviously the date of this game is 3/2/2005.
  11. I don't know if there will be any coverage of the Spring Training opener in Chicago. I have heard that the Rockies will cover it here in Denver, Colorado though. You all should be able to catch it streaming at... http://www.850koa.com/listen/index.html I hope to do some updates during the game myself if no one else can. I can't wait.
  12. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Feb 14, 2005 -> 12:16 PM) Going to move this to the Sports Bar, since it is Non-Sox. You moved it just as I was making note of the fact. I actually think this is stuff is fine on the White Sox board but hell that's just me.

  14. QUOTE(poorme @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 08:06 AM) finally, a national writer with a clue. As a Colorado resident, I do generally respect Ringolsby's opinion. I don't always agree with him but unlike a lot of sports writers he's actually a pretty informed person. He's not a big Billy Beane worshipper either which I find refreshing.
  15. I too would love to be involved in a keeper league with my fellow White Sox fans.
  16. QUOTE(thomsonmi @ Feb 10, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) I would love to join a keeper league. I've been participating in baseball fantasy leagues of one sort or another for 15 years and I would love to be in a very competitive keeper league with my fellow White Sox fans. Let me add that I'm more than capable of participating in a league that requires my utmost attention throughout the baseball season.
  17. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) If there is a spot open in a keeper league, I would love to join. SB I would love to join a keeper league. I've been participating in baseball fantasy leagues of one sort or another for 15 years and I would love to be in a very competitive keeper league with my fellow White Sox fans.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxmatt @ Feb 10, 2005 -> 08:37 PM) KW makes 3 year charts... Im not very surprised he is looking ahead to the trade deadline. I count myself as a KW fan, but the fact is this is what he gets paid to do. I'm glad to hear he's burning the midnight oil even during a slow period but he is paid fairly well for his efforts. What I wouldn't do to be in his shoes.
  19. There are studies out there which show that the #9 hitter leads off innings the second most often (behind #1). I believe it is for this reason that many American League teams view the #9 spot as a second leadoff spot.
  20. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 10, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Who Batting 7th? this should determine who bats 9th.. IMO AJ will be batting 7th. And, 9th will likely be Uribe with the acquisition of Iggy. If Iggy struggles I expect Ozzie to flip them and bat Iggy in the #9 spot.
  21. Besides the obvious you can sue for anything line, Canseco could defend himself by presenting evidence of why he thought it was true. In other words, a jury could find that the allegations are false but also find that Canseco did not act with reckless disregard for the truth. That's may be confusing but the jist is that if you have a legitimate reason for thinking your statements are true your protected in a libel suit. It's a pretty tough standard actually.
  22. QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Feb 10, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) Right now who plays SS barring an injury (God forbid)? Unless the reliever or starter make us that much better, than it has to be some MIF help. Money is an issue too guys. Money is an issue and what I think we're talking about would be a rent-a-player type thing if we are in the playoff hunt. The kind of addition that Carl Everett and Roberto Alomar were meant to be in 2003. In other words, no real cost besides minor league talent (which I know raises a whole bunch of other concerns). But, this is the MO of KW and Jerry in those situations.
