I have to say that while 8-7 isn't exactly an ideal start, when you consider that our offense has been complete s***, and we have had a pretty difficult schedule to start off, I am pleased thus far with our performance. I said at the beginning of the year that I believed this whole season was going to ride on the 1 through 4 starters getting their s*** together. So far, they have done pretty good and the bullpen has been outstanding. Figuring that the offense has to get better, if our pitching keeps this up, its going to be a fun year. Still early though. Lets keep it going dammit!

Felt like watching Baseball Tonight for the first time this season, given the occasion. And this, of course was the first time I've had the privilege of listening to the great Fernando Vina. Wow...just wow. I think that "Boom goes the dynamite" kid might have some stiff competition. Bad doesn't even begin to describe him. Mark! Watching a no-hitter is something special. And watching Mark Buehrle throw a no-hitter, for many reasons, makes it even better.

I really hate the Subway commercials. I'm sure they are effective in some way, but the mere sight of Jared makes me want to vomit...or punch him in the face, whichever comes first.

Good win. Wasn't pretty, but good teams are able to win games when they aren't at their best. So it certainly works for me. I will give Jenks a few weeks to get his velocity up. If that doesn't happen and he's still topping out around 91-93, then I will start to worry.
