I know this will probably amount to nothing, but still...

As much as I wish things like this weren't being said, he surely has the right to say it. People say what they want to say, and people believe what they want to believe. Personally, while I think that it is despicable that he'd use a word as strong as "hate" for something that is harmless and offers absolutely no threat to his well being, at the very least he will suffer some consequences for saying it. He can continue to say it or think it all he wants, as it is his right. I just hope that it somehow brings more awareness to the ugliness of such bigotry. And while he does have the right to say what he wants, I think sometimes hateful feelings are best left being kept to ourselves. Ask Tim Hardaway in a couple days if he would have rather taken the politically correct road.

Quite sad for Mencia. He wasn't funny with stolen material. Imagine how lame his own material is.

QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 10:05 AM) Sorry, I mean that I don't think Dye is going to have another great season like he did in 06, because that was pretty far off his career numbers. Sure, there's a chance he's just putting it all together late in his career, but it's more likely that there's been some improvement and some aspect of having a career year. Also, you have to factor in that he's been injury prone in the past and we've gotten essentially two injury-free seasons out of him. Ok. Well, that is different. I pretty much agree that he won't have another '06. If I were to make a prediction, I'd say he'd be more between '05 and '06. Somewhere in the .280/35/100 region.

QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Feb 8, 2007 -> 09:31 AM) I don't think Dye will have another good season. Care to explain why?

QUOTE(CrimsonWeltall @ Feb 2, 2007 -> 02:13 PM) i enjoyed the part when stanley broke his fork Michael: Who wants some man meat? Dwight: I want some of your man meat, Michael!

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Feb 2, 2007 -> 12:00 PM) that whole episode was great. I particularly enjoyed Dwight quizzing Ben Franklin throughout the episode bc Jim said it was the real Ben Franklin. "I don't care what Jim says. That is not the real Ben Franklin. I am 99% sure."

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 2, 2007 -> 08:17 AM) I thought the best part was the shot of Ryan and Michael in the sex shop, with Ryan turning to the camera saying "He hasn't even said anything, he is just giggling." Yah, that was hysterical. I especially liked that they blurred almost everything behind them. I don't know why I found that funny, but I did.

Poll: KW media negotiations or bickering?
KevHead0881 replied to 103 mph screwball's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Meh, whatever. As long as Kenny puts out a winner, I don't care if he's too honest or does everything behind closed doors. Personally, I prefer that the leaders of the team that I follow don't bulls*** me and are open and honest about whats going on in the organization, but maybe thats just me. Just my opinion, but I believe its a non-issue. -

Can anyone think of a worse Sox outfield ?
KevHead0881 replied to WHITESOXRANDY's topic in Pale Hose Talk
When Pods went in the tank in the second half of '05, our outfield was nothing to crow about. -
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jan 24, 2007 -> 09:09 AM) Starting Rotation Mark Buerhle Jose Contreras Jon Garland Javy Vazquez Gavin Floyd *he must win the job at spring training, will compete with guys like Gio, Danks, Haegar, Logan, Broadway. I'm pleased with the roster, but if these 4 guys don't step up and improve from last season's performance, it'll be a long season.

Without a doubt, its the '05 Sox championship. I love football, and the Bears are my favorite football team. I didn't even get the chance to enjoy the '85 Bears, as I was only 4 years old. I'm excited for the chance to finally witness a Bears championship, but still, while I love the Bears, the White Sox are my religion. The '05 season was the pinnacle of my life as a sports fan. Almost sad to think that at the age of 25, there will be nothing over the rest of my lifetime that will top it.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jan 23, 2007 -> 03:32 PM) Well Joe Cowley says it's a done deal pending a physical. Even better for you, he most likely will be wearing the number of the one and only Mike Caruso.

Pretty simple for me... If he's healthy enough to play a good CF and fill in wherever else we need him, then why not? If he's not, then I'd take a pass. If we do indeed sign him, I'll assume that its because the Sox did their homework and think he's healthy enough to be a good backup. If thats the case, I say bring him aboard.

Are we really out of contention this coming season?
KevHead0881 replied to Jenksismyhero's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Going out on a limb here: The White Sox, Tigers, Twins and Indians will all contend in 2007. And Travis Hafner will hit about 12 homers off our pitchers. Thats it from me in the prediction department. To be completely honest, the thing I'm most concerned about going into the season is our 1 through 4 starters getting their s*** together. Much more so than our 5th starter. Some people make it sound like we solved our 5th starter problem in 2005. While it was better than the committee of garbage we were throwing out there in the years prior, it certainly wasn't anything beyond mediocre. I know I sure didn't feel very comfortable watching El Duque being thrown out there for 22 starts. Point is, we got to the post season because our 1-4 starters were outstanding for almost the entire season. I can't say I have any idea that Buehrle, Garland, Count and Vazquez will pitch up to, or above, their expectations. But the entire season, IMO, is depending on it. As an optimist, I think they can...but who the hell really knows. -
QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 09:20 AM) I thought KW's assistant, I can't remember his name, handled the dealings with Boras. I'm fairly certain that Rick Hahn is Kenny's backup in these situations, and has worked with Boras clients in the past.

Sox like Dye, but at what cost?..... Goodbye Buerhle ?

This doesn't say a whole lot, but I guess its something... White Sox poised to sign Crede -
Gotta go with Arrested Development. If it had any longevity, it would have ranked up there among the best comedies of all time. Seriously. Its a shame how FOX jerked around that show.
