To be honest, Rios and Rowand are semi similar players. Maybe not in the way they play, but just in their situations. Rios had some potential, but never really got the opportunity and then Rowand is the same way. Neither are loaded with all the talent, but both do play hard and I can see both putting up very solid numbers. I think we'll see Rios and Daubach get more at bats then some expect, just because we'll Rowand time off on ocassions to bring in more lefty bats, etc. I love how deep the bench is. I hate having 3 catchers though.

Damn, you and big hurt were quick to post that. Ditto what I said in the other thread, Frank better not be talking. For those that are able to watch it, can you give us the highlights of what is said. Thanks

Ya, I know what you mean 420, I try hard to limit whats up there, with just articles and such.

Good god, tell me he isn't going to be talking. I hope they just show him hitting up a storm and smiling. A picture is worth 1000 words.

I continue to believe as of now the Twins are the favorites and they will be until the Sox are way way up and running away with the division or until they dethrone the division champs. The Twins may of stayed the same, but last year they were a far superior team and its not like they are full of aging players that are going to get worse. Their guys, like ours are young. Now their pen did get worse, but their rotation should be much better considering it should be more healthy then it was last year (Last year they were very beat up; Mays, Radke and Milton; This year its just Milton, so far at least). Offensively they'll lose a bit and they had some guys who had career years, but people like Guzman regressed from the year before so who knows. All I know is the Sox look much better and I still have a lot of confidence, but its still a wait and see. I do think the Sox will win the division, but as of now its the Twins that should getting talked up. They won, they backed up there stuff, now its there turn to be the ones everyone is after, and the Sox will defeat them.

Alright everyone. I'm going to talk with Mario about it tonight. Thanks for speaking out for those that don't like having this stuff up here, cause like we always say, we really do listen to your opinions because hey, its you that come here, so its our job to make the site more to everyones liking. For the off topic shows, it seems that most would rather see them on the off topic board, if thats the case then I got no problem with that. Afterall, this is a SOX board. Still, don't blame Matthew for the post; He's a good guy and was just doing what we've always done, its the admins that deserve the blame

SN Report: Harris, Borchard, and Three Others Cut By Mario Scalise March 26, 2003 SoxNet.net The White Sox cut their spring roster to 28 on Wednesday by optioning or reassigning five players, including centerfielders Joe Borchard and Willie Harris. Borchard and Harris were optioned to Triple-A Charlotte along with left-handed pitcher Mike Porzio and righty Matt Ginter. The Sox reassigned catcher Jamie Burke to the minor league camp. The move assures jobs to Aaron Rowand in center and Gary Glover in the bullpen, and leaves two bench spots open for Josh Paul, Miguel Olivo and Aaron Miles. Armando Rios, Brian Daubach and Tony Graffanino have apparently secured spots on the bench. Lefties Josh Stewart and Dave Sanders are the 27th and 28th players left. Sanders chance is slim, while Stewart is relying on the health of Danny Wright. The Sox are expected to make their final cuts this weekend.

I don't see Willie Harris on that list...I'd say it's him Paul and Josh Stewart. This is a joke of a move. Its stupid to carry three catchers. First off it will limit Olivo's playing time and secondly there is no point to carrying 3 catchers. They obviously don't want to place Paul on waivers, so why not just send Olivo to AAA where he can get a little more seasoning, something that wouldn't hurt him. I guess Hummell is going to play 3rd base or something while Harris and Miles play short and second in AAA. Thats going to be an odd infield considering that Hummell is really the only one capable of playing shortstop. Maybe Harris will be in center with Hummell, Dellaero, and Miles in the infield, who knows.

Military is against tattoos. I worked with a guy and he had them all over and the military paid to have them removed with lasers. I don't even think he was an officer or anything, just newly enlisted. Maybe he removed them on his own, but I know they didn't like him having them.
-
Dang, offense rolling and it sounds like Stewart is pitching good once again.
-
I'll get a thread going tomorrow where we can all make our own predictions and then I'll save it for at the end of the season and we can all look back and see who is right.

Sox send seven players to minors Esteban Loaiza does that mean stewert got the 5th spot? Stewart is still there in case Wright isn't ready.

I know several that would. They are all over the age of 35 and fear STD's However, I don't know ANY baseball players in Mark's age group (and even a few nearly a decade from it) that would turn them down. Yes - especially Christina. As if the tattoos weren't bad enough, she's covered with excess piercings. Yet another HUGE red flag for any self-respecting male. Oh STFU!! I have a tattoo AND a belly ring. Want to call me some s***ty name..? Ya know.. it would be soooo appropriate since you "know me" so well, right?? Well Steff, as long as your female I dont have any problem with belly rings. Its becoming a fad for chicks at my school and I think its kinda hot. But if youre a boy I just dont want to talk about it. As for tatoos, Ive thought about getting some but Im not sure. Its kinda a permanent decision, ya know? Agree with you on belly rings Roman.

I think we'll only carry 2 catchers and Olivo will be sent down unless something happens.
-
I think if you test positive again then you get suspended or something. Haven't heard anything about Miles, Daubach or Harris. I think we all know that Daubach's contract will be bought though.

Between the Ears: Q&A With Sports Psych Chris Myers By Chris Myers March 26, 2003 SoxNet.net
-
Ya, he got his 3000th hit there.
-
Agree with you on their starting rotation Critic, but when it comes to the bullpen I will have to see it first, especially since they are without a closer for 6 weeks.

Lol, I remember all that stuff. I was always lazy in highschool though. I'd to the bare minimum to get on my right pathway. But college is way different. Since I pay money and my parents pay money I try a lot harder otherwise there isn't a point to go. Well, that and college actually means something. Oh ya, do guidence counselors actually do anything? Mine never did a damn thing. She even forgot to send in my letter of recommendation to some school. Thats probably why she isn't there anymore

Fixed it for ya 420

Well, Texas, KC, Anaheim, Oakland, Seattle and the Sox. Not too bad.

Since those weapons are useless, then why have they used Scuds, and now there are big time possibilities of Biological Weapons? That would lead me to believe that they didn't get all the weapons.
