  1. He is 23 years old and doesn't turn 24 until February next year.
  2. They invested too much money in elderly players.
  3. Bwhaaaa, that was great Cerb. Damn, DAMN, DAMN that would be a sweet staff.
  4. If the Sox are smart, they'll try to sign Colon mid-season. Hopefully we can get off to a 1st place start, and somewhere mid-summer, negotiate a contract with Colon (maybe 4 years, $40M or so), and hope he signs it. Rather than getting into a bidding war in the off-season that we would likely lose. I think we could sign him at 10 mill a year. That seems fair for both sides. We will free up some money when they get rid of Jose and if he wants to come back and the Sox want him back it will be for about half that price, I'd assume.
  5. I am still curious to see how Stewart does. I think were going to see him make a start with the Sox sooner or later.
  6. I think Majewski is going to become a pretty good reliever.
  7. My brain has gone blank who is Pedro Lopez and who is Stewart? Lopez is an infield prospect, very young if I recall. Not sure which Stewart your referring too, Josh? If its Josh he's the starter, but I'm assuming thats not who your talking about, lol.
  8. Ehh, still a great game by our minor league guys. Good to see they all got a shot of somesort. Thanks for the play by play 420 and Cerb.
  9. Well Jimenez will be here again next year. Look for Borchard to take one spot, then there may be a real shot that Miles and Jimenez are our up the middle combo next season.
  10. Most of the stuff that is close is at the major league level. But, we have a lot of position prospects down in the very low ranks and then of course we have Borchard, Olivo, and the infielders in AAA. Otherwise, you got to wait for guys like Webster, Reed, Schnurstein, Valera, Rogowski, etc.
  11. Its mainly a rumor, that they are considering it. If he's in AA though, then he won't be starting at least I don't see him starting there. If he's back in A ball, then there would be a good shot he'd be starting.
  12. Tampa Bay Devil Rays outfield prospect. They got a ton of outfield prospects, but this guy was potentially the best outfield prospect in the games, along with Rocco Baldelli or whatever his name is on Tampa as well.
  13. Then again you just never know. Wrights arm injury is more serious, and Loiaza struggles with Colon walking potentially at the end of the season and we could need three more starters. I know one thing, I'm glad we got so much depth.

  15. Well you said you'd be in Anaheim and I'm only like 10 minutes from there and usually when they play there I end up finding a way to get in. If I do, I'll look for ya.
  16. I'd assume that them moving him into the rotation would be for two reasons. The first to strecth him out and the second to give him more work.

    With this new news

They won't be afraid to use chemical weapons, and thats my fear. Whenever you have someone that is on a last cause type mission then they will use everything they got. Hopefully our troops are ready, well equipped and can get through it all healthy. This is going to be tough. Any reports yet on the chemical weapons plant. Also, I think the first sign that they actually do use Chemical weapons and you'll see an air campaign before you see the troops go back in. As far as APU goes, he's back. He emailed me one day wanting to be banned.
  18. I want to see that, it looks real good. Need to stock up on some movie passes again. Damn you Mark, I'm coming out to Chicago for some free popcorn and stuff.

    White

Glover is a two inning guy or more, if needed.
  20. The question is whether they move him to the rotation or not. If they move him to the rotation he'll be back in a ball, otherwise he'll likely start off in AA. They are definately jumping him through quickly, and it would probably be wisest to start him off in high a, and then move him to AA early on, but that probably won't happen.
  21. All I'm saying is he'd of been one awesome pick up for 300 k a year or so. This is a guy that throws innings, is known to be clutch, and would really fit in great giving Wright time to get healthy and if Loiaza fell back down to earth we'd have tons of depth. Damn, that would of been sweet.
  22. Livan was one of those guys I would of loved getting. Man, that was a great deal by the Expos.
  23. Ya, but Jim Parque had the same problem after surgery. Maybe Mike aught to call up the Drays. I don't know why I'm so mean with my comments about Porzio, but I swear every time I watch him pitch he gets hammered. I really do wish him all the best though and hope my buddy Gary is right on and that he eventually wins the Cy Young!!!!!!!
  24. Greg, if I end up going to one of those games I'm gonna be looking for ya Hopefully I'll be getting a call soon from one of my buddies thats dad usually gets tickets to it every year from his company. I love watching college basketball.
  25. Cubs will only do good if someone steps up and both their rotation and bullpen are lights out. I could see it out of the rotation, but I doubt I'll see it out of the bullpen. Oh ya, they'll need some big time step ups offensively as well.
