Will do. and take all your frustrations out on Mario, while I run to Cabo
-
Many of the sites on the network do have subscription packages, but WE DO NOT AND WILL NOT CHARGE OUR MEMBERS. I know what you mean though. I definately see where your coming from.
-
The board will change Michelle, but we are going to re-register everyone to the best of our ability and email them new passwords. Before we do this, we will ask those who would prefer to regsiter on there own, since it would save us time But as long as we have your current email addie, we'll register you and email you a password for the board. We'll gather a list of people who want us to register them at a later date. Now onto the addresses. As far as those go, they will stay the same. You type in www.soxnet.net and you'll get our main page. You want the message board you just type in www.soxtalk.com and it will come up, that way everyone will always know how to find us; that stuff won't be changing.

Thats the one thing we thought long and hard about. To start things off, when they contacted us we didn't think there was any way we'd join, but when it was all set and done we saw just so many positives to the point we could make the site so much better and get it more widestream. One thing we do stick to is the fact that this site stays free. If things switch and we get forced into anything, then as Mario said, we will basically just back up our bags cause it is against our belief. We think the internet should be free, etc. We would like to find some ways to make some money to re-invest back into the site in ways such as scouting trips to the minors, merchandise, give-aways, etc, but THAT WON'T Come at the expense of the readers, thats for damn sure, and it won't involve popups. Were in this to provide a full service White Sox site, with in depth news, stats, and info on the White Sox. With an awesome board with the most kick ass Sox fans around where they are entitled to speak there mind. And a site that will have indepth minor league coverage. I have big plans for this area, and once we get acess to everything I will start development on what will be the ULTIMATE MINOR LEAGUE PARADISE for Sox fans or so I hope That being said as always if there are other things people will want to see added or changed in terms of features on the site do tell us because were here to make everyone happy.

Ya, we will be fully in charge. The only difference is we will be on a sweet server. I know some have said they have had trouble on this board when it comes to acessing it at times and those problems should end. Their will be a new board, but we are going to do all we can to make the move smooth in terms of it; ie re-registering everyone, updating the post numbers to what they were when they were here (IF Possible; I think it is). Then we'll move this board to a different server where it will be at least in read only mode so all this info won't be lost, etc. You can always go back and check on new things and such. Losing this board was a sticking point, because of some of the hassles it will cause in the beginning (Learning a new board, etc). The positive is, now we are at a place that will be our permanent home, assuming there are no bumps

I'm sure there will be plenty of questions/comments etc. You can either post them here of it you prefer email me at [email protected] or Mario at [email protected]

A Letter to All Visitors of SoxNet/Soxtalk The staff here at SoxNet.net and Soxtalk.com would like to inform all the visitors that we have recently teamed up and joined TheInsiders, a network partner of Yahoo! Sports and CNNSI. The decision was indeed a difficult one and took weeks of consideration before it was agreed upon, but it is a move that was done in the best interest of SoxNet, as well as the staff, and most importantly, the viewers. -Because of the partnership with TheInsiders, our reports, recaps, stories and columns will also be published on nationally known sites like Yahoo! Sports and CNNSI. -In turn, this will allow the staff to show their work to a broader audience. -Along with that, the site will be run on a state-of-the-art server, which will supply more space and traffic allowance. -The site and the viewers, will be supplied with more information and statistics regarding the White Sox. Most importantly, the content on SoxNet will not only stay reliable, pop-up, registration and pay-free, but will be published at a much quicker rate, with more in depth info and analysis. This will allow us to expand our reporter base and offer more timely reports. Although the deal is official, the move will not be made till the end of this month, before the season opener on March 31. This is clearly the biggest decision and step this site has made in just over two years of being up, and we are very optimistic that this move will take SoxNet.net to a new level. With that, we ask that anybody that would like to voice their opinion on this upcoming move, comments or criticism, or those who have any questions, to please write us. Thanks for your time, Mario and Jason

Blair admitted to helping Powell lie to the UN (plagiarized info from 1992 in his dossier about Iraq) A lying politician would fit right in here in the US of A. Its hard for me to believe this whole plagarizing bit. Wouldn't the news say something about this? It isn't like the news is afraid to say something bad about the president. I know you've told me Blair admitted to this or something, well where is any of this stuff. I want to see it out of some mainstream people please? Its just hard for me to fathom that no one has heard of this. This would be something serious if in fact it were true, yet no one talks about it.

God thats sickening.

Well Mesa was pretty damn good for a while with the Indians. Thats like the Yanks blaming Rivera for blowing the Dbacks series. Now Rivera is way better then Mesa, but he was pretty much untouchable for a time period in Cleveland.
-
Sweet. Surprising, but I think its the Sox way of rewarding him.

Hey Jeff I think they are going to consider those changes in the future renovations that will occur thanks to the naming contract. A homer porch is also supposedly going to get built. Haven't heard about TGIF, and since i don't live there I can't comment on what was there before hand, but I thought it was like a bar or something?

Typically I think free trades should be allowed. I don't think there should be too many vetoes. As long as each side is happy then I'm cool.
-
It doesn't come up for me.
-
I'm in. This should be fun. last year I sucked because I had Gonzaga going to the final 4. The year before I did pretty damn good though.

On new stuff, i wouldn't go to ebay. you end up paying more. I don't think you can be 39.99. Ian, I know what ya mean. I'd call them up and tell them. I just got two books from Amazon. Damn, I like amazon now. I never bought a damn thing on the net other then a few things on ebay back in the days it was good (Before everyone started bidding up the damn prices). I was hoping World Series 2k3 would be available for 39.99, but had no luck. Typically though, when it comes to one of the few games I actually buy, I just go to the store cause I can't wait. Just going to the store and getting the game and playing it the first time, I love doing that. I'm just not a patient person. But if it saves my cheap ass 10 bucks, then I sure as hell am going to wait.

I think next season were going to have the ability to do that. Not 100% positive, but I think we will. We may be even able to offer multiple leagues, but the regulars would of course be the first to have the opportunity if it was limited. We'll do our best to ensure that everyone who wants in can get in, if in fact we have one.
-
I wouldn't object.
-
For those of you interested in getting that game. Its currently got 10 bucks off and free shipping at amazon.com Thats the ps2 version. I just bought my family guy DVD. 34 or 37 bucks, but well spent. I almost never buy any DVD's but that was just too great of a show. You get 27 episodes; the 1st and 2nd season. That was with free shipping and of course no TAX!!!!!!!

I do think for next year we will be able to set one up, where it won't the users money. Maybe that would be the best thing, wait till next year? Kind of like the Cubs always say

Sox's spin on negotiations displeases Buehrle camp
Chisoxfn replied to Mr. Showtime's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think that the Sox will come back and offer him the 4th year guaranteed. They went too far on this to just walk away.
