Preseason ratings are just that. The Sox have a lot to prove and hopefully they do just that.
-
All I know about Kris is he's a damn talented pitcher and I'm excited to see how he continues to develop. As I wish on all of the White Sox pitchers.
-
I hope Jon isn't throwing 96 in the later innings of the game cause when he throws hard his pitch is completely straight. The big reason he improved so much this season was he wasn't overthrowing and was trusting his pitches. Sorry Baggs, I don't agree with your assessment of velocity although I do agree that Wright has just as good of a shot as Garland at winning the Cy Young.

I stick to water. Why, if you drink any of that other crap and you running at least in my case, I'll get sideaches and crap.

The way I see it, if spiking a guy is going to get you on base, and its a key situation go for it. This is a hard nosed game and I like baseball the way it used to be played, as in every player hard hard hard. I'm all for a players protection, but they already have like a 5 foot cushion over on second, so if I'm a player and they are on the bag, I'm going full speed to break it up.

No chance in HELL I'd trade Crede, but If Harris has a monster Spring, maybe we could throw in a pitching prospect, Sanders or Malone, or something, or Hummel could play third, Harris and Hummel for Beltran? Would you do it? harris and hummell for beltran???...of course..who wouldnt...but will KC??..im sure someone will give them a better deal.. imo KC will want young pitching for beltran and we got plenty of that..im guessing they'd want honel and malone..or maybe rauch and one of those two...now would you give up that??? I like your thinking Baggs Don't act all interested, simply make them an offer that the Sox are willing to make, then see what happens. I'd do something including Rowand. He's got to be part of the offer, imo, since Beltran will be replacing him and we don't need to hold onto him. I'd say Rowand and a pitching prospect or Rowand, Harris, and Stewart.

As far as the uncertainty between where the players will be. I'll be updating my reports once the official minor league rosters come up. I'm only guessing. Also, Hudler, thanks for the remarks. In reference to Barons, I always thought it was that way. From now on whenever I write a piece on them it will say Baron. Jim - Your probalby right in regards to those players. I keep thinking that the Sox are going to go slow at first with Corwin. I do think your right on the money when it comes to Wing. As far as Ring goes, I'm going to anticipate to see how he does as a starter. It can't hurt to put him there because he'll throw more innings and build up his stamina. Thanks for the info regarding yourself. Stats are a funny thing like that. I watch games and you'll see a pitcher really give up a ton of runs, but he's really pitching a great game the opponents are just getting a lot of dinkers. Things like that don't show up in the stat sheet though. It would just look like that pitcher struggled that day.

Well, some of those guys may be coming due for huge contracts so you made trade them to help you in other areas. Still, you have to wait and see just how everyone pans out and wait. I don't think this is a bad dillema to have though.

I don't think African' countries really hate us. The main reason they are dying is because they aren't as advanced as the western worlds because of how far they were pushed back from slavery. Still, thats all in the past, but its taking so long for those countries to become civilized and its even harderd consider the aids epediemic that they have to deal with.

Jon and Danny are going to be really good pitchers. So is Rauch. I'm really confident that all these guys will develop into more then just back of the end guys.
-
I hope Jason will just concentrate on one thing. I've heard he is pretty advanced considering he's never pitched exclusively. We know he's got a gun.

Do tell, I'm always looking to learn more from this. The only way I learn more is by hearing what mistakes I made.

Baseball Preview Tomorrow at 6 pm Central Time

THE SHOW IS STARTING RIGHT NOW -
Heredia on the far left, then next to him Felix Diaz (but he may be Corwin). Then I'm thinking we have Neal Cotts, Edwin Almonte and on the far right Corwin Malone. I don't have a clue who the guy in the background is. Coop is in the middle.

I'm with you on that. Sign him for 3 more years and buerhle for 4 more years.

Bulls could also try to swing a deal for Corey Maggette and let him become their starting shooting guard. Any deal with the Clips would likely involve the Bulls sending some of their young, CHEAP players, such as Eddie Curry. I'd like to see a nice Curry, Crawford, and Hoiberg for Wilcox, Maggette and Piatowski swap or something like that. I think its a realistic shot. They get a point guard to replace Miller when he leaves; likely to be dealt, we free up our point guard spot and get a guy in Maggette that has been playing really good this year, another athletic big man that would match better with Chandler (Both are going to be great defensive players and have explosive hops) and we get a better versoin of Hoiberg that can play defense and is a great shooter. Sounds like a sweet deal to me. This would be my thing to do if I were Krause.

Some reports have indicated that a 3 team swap could happen by the trade deadline. Golden State would recieve Gary Payton while they would be trading Mike Dunleavy and Jason Richardson. The Chicago Bulls would solve their backcourt woes acquiring the talented shooting guard Jason Richardson and the #3 pick in the NBA draft Mike Dunleavy, who has fallen out of favor in Golden State. The Bulls would then deal Marcus Fizer, Jamaal Crawford, and Eddy Curry to the Sonics. I know I'm all in favor of this deal. Then I'd root for the Bulls to go out and sign Olowakandi to a reasonable offer to play center with Tyson, Marshall and Baxter all fighting for time as well. Not sure how much truth there is to this, and I'm assuming there could be some salary equalizers, but I'd love getting Jrich in the backcourt and giving Dunleavy plenty of time at small forward and shooting guard.

GIVE UP French Toast, French Fries, Croissants and Wine; France will be begging for our forgiveness On a more serious subject, I can't agree more with you all. France is always making fun of Americans and ripping on them, yet they haven't done a good thing since the Revolutionary War or when they gave us the Statue of Liberty. Sure they helped us then, but what about all the other times we helped them. I'd understand if they were simply making a stand, but I believe part of it is that the French don't want to agree with the Americans and secondly, I think the French are helping Iraq in many ways.

Tony was a lefty, if I recall. Cora and Phillips both retired.

Who is your favorite White Sox player?
Chisoxfn replied to WhiteSoxPride3035's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I understand that the Lakers indeed suck - one of the franchises I just really dislike year in and year out - but where are the Bulls going? No where? that's right Oh Ok, for CW maybe I should say Go Piston!!!!; Oh wait, screw the Pistons, GO BULLS GO -
He goes where ever he is going to go anyway after we don't resign him for the contract range that he will be in - I suggest we trade him now because after he makes 35-36 more errors at short and if he hits what he hit last year (less than Clayton and you can look it up) and given his age and contract range, he will have no trade value. We might get something for him now. ill put the over under on jose errors this year at 24...i bet you he doesnt make more than 24 errors this year from an earlier post in this thread...you would be screaming to trade ray durham now????...lofton yes but durham???...i rate ray as one of the top 5 2nd baseman in baseball right now...why trade him?? If he gets that under Baggs, I'll be so happy with Manos, that I'll call him a GOOD, hell make that a great shortstop.

I don't care if it was piss yellow, pride is going to be oozing from that stadium come October cause the Sox are going to kick some butt this year

I really am a big Heath Phillips fan. The guy has already proven he can throw a ton of innings at a young age and he keeps his team in the games.
