I know, I was talking to Mario about it yesterday. I have 2 more people to talk about and have needed to finish it for like a month now, lol. Got to forget about school for a day and just finish it. I'll try to get my reading done today, then spend another half hour on it so your beautiful work can go up.

welcome aboard but there is no way mags is the second best "of'er". try vlad, bonds, dunn to name a few who are up there in what they bring. i would even say grif may be. but i like mags attitude. I'd put Vlad and Bonds ahead of him. Then Sammy and him are very close. I really think Magglio is truly one of the best players in the majors and given a few more, hopefully 10-15 ( ) and he will go down as one of the greatest players ever. Dunn is good, but potential means nothing until its realized, but he will realize it. I wouldn't mind seeing Caballo gone, but not until we know Thomas is back and is going to be back. Its obvious one of the two will be gone next year, but we need to wait till we know for sure. Then Borchard will be playing everyday and we still may need a centerfielder/leftfielder, depending on where Joe plays. I still love the idea of getting Beltran.

i will agree with that. i agree too....thinking back on all of KW's blunders...that one could very well top the list...how can he say that about a guy thats had 4 operations???...is it any wonder we lead the league in torn labrums?? We can thank Nardi for that. No way can you thank a Gm for something like that. Oh ya, Barcelo was afraid to throw the ball. I know he had injuries but all the mri's that came back said he was healthy, but he refused to throw it. He was simply afraid. I can't blame him, but I also can't blame KW for being upset. I think he knows how good Lorenzo could be. Some guys arms just can't handle it though.

Didn't he beat his women or something? I'm asking you cause I am not sure, but I remember hearing something a while ago about it.
-
I'd trade him, but I don't think anyone would take on that contract. They were nuts. If it were say 17 million, I'd hope the Sox would pick him up, but that ain't going to happen. I think Texas would have to eat about 10 mill of his contract each year. Then they could get some pretty damn good prospects and concern themselves with pitching. Plus, they will have a good offense with or without him.

I think your right. I guess Paco Martin, but I remember when we had Gil. I never was a Bengie Gil fan though. I know one thing, Caruso sure had an impressive rookie year.
-
Do the partial season ticket holders get priority on All Star Game tix's as well? I thought they did but I'm not sure. I can't help you with your answer though.

I liked Quintero a lot Hudler. I was really dissapointed when he was dealt, but he brought over a guy I have always liked in Jimenez. He was excellent behind the plate though and started showing signs of life out of his bat. I also think he was pretty young, if I recall. The guy had a serious gun.
-
He is a starter prospect. I think they were thinking his only shot at making the team is as a reliever, which is very true. He isn't ready to be a starter. I think he's one of those guys that may pitch a full season in the pen and then eventually move into the rotation.
-
I think he's going to miss the first couple weeks of the season, but thats just a hunch. He had a really serious injury that takes quite a long time to rehab.

Person is pretty much a guarantee at starting in AAA somewhere. He probably won't be able to pitch in the majors for the first month. I don't see the Sox signing him, but he can definately be had cheap if Rogers doesn't sign. If we don't sign Rogers, I'd think they'd consider signing Person to a minor league deal, let him rehab and if Rauch is struggling, then he'll get a shot, if Rauch isn't, then he could go to the bullpen, demand his release, get dealt, or stick around in the minors till someone goes down.
-
Carlos Beltran... I may go with Jose Cruz Jr, mainly because I Think he could of done some awesome things for this lineup. Then again, I like what Rogers brings but I have a lot of faith in Rauch. Tough Tough Question.
-
Wright. I really liked what I saw from him last season. He may be my favorite in terms of potential. He is a huge guy that can throw a ton of innings and I think he's going to turn into a serious workhorse. I also think he's got tremendous stuff. What I like about him and Wright is they have proven they can shut down the best teams in baseball. As long as you can do that, you know they got it, they just need to learn consistency and I think we started seeing that the 2nd half last year and they only got better as the season went on and that should continue for a while.
-
We can definately expand to it. After we did the show, we played for 2 hours and boy did we suck. I missed like 6 layups, but luckily I was hitting my threes. I know what you mean about Mike's show. I got up and it was pretty much over. I have enough trouble getting up for Bears games at 10, lol.
-
Your too kind. Thanks to eveyone, it was fun. It will be nice once there is a regular schedule so I can keep track of all the shows, when are you guys on again? Saturday at 2 central time.

i think rauch could knock glover out of the picture...most old timers turn to earl weaver and tommy lasorda as the best models for how to break in a pitcher..they always seemed to start a guy off in the bullpen his rookie year and have him earn his way into the rotation....but im with most who think rauch would be best served with another year pitching every 5th day at charlotte...just because i think he needs another year to fully return back from injury..and pitching on a set schedule would be better then the random use a reliever gets... I have always liked starting a guy out in the bullpen. As far as him knocking out Glover, you could be right, but I like Glover a ton. I think he's going to have a stellar year out of the pen. I think he'll eventually take over when someone goes down, maybe Flash or White and then he'll step in for good in the bullpen, eventually get spot starts and next season he'll be ready for the starting rotation for good.

I'm with you Baggs, thats like no difference. Then again, I wouldn't want to agree to any contract if I was in Montreal. I'd be sick of losing and playing in front of no one, so it could be about more then money. Geeze, what am I thinking
-
Awesome point Baggio. First off, if we didn't make that deal then we wouldn't have Koch here right now, because I believe we would be desinted to see Paul and MJ as our catching duo, yet again. I think Pudge would of been an intriguing choice, but it was obvious he wasn't going to take less money and there is no way the Sox would of spent 10 million or even 8 million on Pudge.

Matt....just wanted to say I enjoyed your show today. From now on I'm going to forward all email I get on my show, that have to deal with hockey to you. I am in know way shape or form capable of answering hockey questions. I'll give them my 2 second answer and then will email it to you and tell them to check out your show to hear a real hockey expert answer their question. Nice Job!!!!

Michelle, all of a sudden thats all going to go away and your going to feel like you never have before. All the work will be worth it.

Well, I always rip my dad for that. Seriously though, he's old to have a 19 year old kid, but its all good. He loves that senior citizen discount
-
Good god, I couldn't even imagine if I got caught for something like that and actually had to go to jail. Of course I'm clean so I don't worry about it. But think, you tried on joint and went to the slammer. I'd so scared. My plan would be to act like I was suicidal so I could get my own cell
-
yikes !!!!!!!! im older than that so would that make me your mom????????? Well, I don't think he's 59 or so, so he ain't old enough to be my dad...Then again, you never know
-
All I know is I'm glad we'll have him in our pen this season cause without him, our pen wouldn't be as good as I think it is. I think we have one of the best in the majors, if not the best, but without marte, we'd have more questionmarks and I'd have it as one of the better ones, not one of the best or the best.
