Phew...its great to have you back. I know some companies don't accept some servers for some reason. Your in California right?
-
how bout it sounds great, what a rotation we are going into camp with. Glad to see everything is working again LDF

Well MJ, considering he could of went 0-60 and still had his avg above yours doesn't say much does it? Oh ya, don't you think Maggs would as well.

You got to get her to some Padres games. They are a blast. They got a great stadium, and I am excited to see what there new one looks like in a year or two. Either way they have awesome fans and its a great atmosphere to see a ball game, especially during day games. Anaheim is really nice too. We'll have to catch a game when your out here next.

Either way, I am a Rowand supporter. Ya know what? I think Borchard will have to have a monster st to push rowand off....methinks jm is set on rowand if he has solid numbers during st...my bet is borchard starts the year in aaa but finds his way up by June...... Sooner or later they are going to have to find a way to make room for both Rowand or Borchard. I really hope Rowand will break out this season, because I think you guys will really like what you see. He hasn't shown the power that will come. He can be a legitimate 25-30 HR guy. I'm with you. If Rowand breaks out then Borchard can step into Center with Rowand in left. Then you can let either Thomas or Lee walk, saving money on one of them. That way you can reup with Colon, sign Buerhle long term and try to make another splash to hopefully bring a 2nd straight World Series Title to Chicago

Your mom lives near there right Michelle? Do you think she'd support a new ball club if it was there?

Cool. Well I'm cheap. I think I'd be best with a white jersey. I'd be cool with Buerhle, Ordonez, Garland, Crede, or Borchard. Oh ya, cheap is good. Do you think I'd be best off getting it from there or from Spring Training or Ebay? Oh ya, I don't need a game used jersey or anything.

I kind of liked those commercials. I wonder if we'll be seeing any more of them though, lol.
-
For a while I've been predicting Borchard will be our opening day centerfielder and I'm still going to hold out that it could happen. Either way, I am a Rowand supporter.

I hated that deal when it was made and even wrote an article talking about how senial Williams was at the time of the trade. I love Marte now, but part of me still is dissapointed with this deal for the sole reason that Damaso was going to be place on waivers and we traded a pitcher that was really sucessful and well liked by many of our scouts for a guy being waived. Of course, Edwin Yan is looking like he could produce as well. Guerrier struggled last year, but I think he'll get a good shot at making the rotation this year in Pittsburgh. Either way, I'm glad we got Marte.

Welcome Aboard. Now we just have to wait and see what happens. I got to admit, I'll definately miss Rauch cause I've really been looking forward to seeing him pitch.
-
Michelle, how much do jerseys usually cost there? If so, I'd be interested in sending you the money if they come at a discount price from what I can find them. I don't really care what kind. Heck, I don't even know what they have or what all of them look like, lol. I'm thinking I'd either want a blank one or a Buerhle one.
-
Lol, the 909. Aren't Kevin and Bean great Your right on that. The only people that are going to want to watch those games are those out there.

I know I wouldn't go to many if any games there. I do know one thing, DC hasn't supported a team in the past and well, some owners are against bringing another team into a market with Baltimore. It isn't like DC is getting a whole lot bigger, afterall, there isn't that much buildable land around there. Of course, thats me assuming things. I live like 10 minutes from the Angels, there is no way I'd drive an hour to go over and watch this other team unless they were playing the Sox or Cubs or if Pedro or someone was pitching. I do think it would be ridiculous with 4 ball clubs in one area. I'd say it comes down to Portland or this deal.

Riverside county, otherwise known as the Inland Empire is the latest group to get involved in buying the Expos. Their plan is a lot different then any other team. First off, they are going to offer 150 million for the team. They won't be able to get a new stadium till 2006, and plan on playing the 2004 and 2005 seasons in the city of Lake Elsinore on the Padres A Ball Affiliates Stadium. That stadium doesn't hold many, but they talked to the architect and can build 25,000 temp seats, pushing the seating arrangements to a bit over 30,000. The difference in this team is that instead of selling PSI liscenses or whatever they are called, they are going to sell stakes of the team. You basically invest in the team, and then have the right to buy season tickets. I figured that was an interesting concept. I also think this was a pretty good idea for a location. The inland empire is close to Anaheim stadium, but because of traffic it takes at least an hour to get there. Then you have the Dodgers which are 2 hours away or so. The key thing is, that the Inland Empire is one of the fastest growing regions out there. Also, Lake Elsinore is in the process of building 50,000 homes in the next 10 years or so. The only reason I know this is I do a lot of work in the region when it comes to real estate. The one road block has to be the fact that they have to play in a minor league stadium. Otherwise, I really think this is a legit deal and could turn into a very sucessful team. Oh ya, its about an hour and 15 minutes from the Padres park. The key question is, whether the market is there. They are going ape s*** building stuff out there. Its pretty much the only area of open land in the Socal region thats still available and prices there have started going through the roof, just like most places.

but as the article says, "Foulke rebounded to post a 0.74 ERA after the All-Star break. But he didn't close again until mid-September because his replacements were lights out. Antonio Osuna and Damaso Marte combined for 21 saves in 23 chances over the season's final three months." Hard to argue with 21 of 23. Timing is everything and Foulke's timing sucked and reclaiming the closer spot was impossible with 21 out of 23 as his replacement. And thus Foulke contributed in a very positive way and that's baseball. I don't think this reflects badly on Manuel. Thats a great point Vince and I didn't think of it that way. Still, don't you think Jerry could of went up to Keith and said hey, "I'm going to stick with this bullpen by comittee. They too have worked hard and I can't deny their numbers or yours. Either way your an intragal part to this bullpen and I'm proud to see that you've got things figured out. Don't worry, you'll get your innings and your chances. "

I remember the days where Griffey and Thomas were the best two young players in the majors. My friends and I would always argue who was better . Me being the Sox fan would always say Thomas, but many would say Griffey. Either way those two guys were some amazing youngsters. Both came into the league and pretty much had immediate sucess with their repsective teams. The big reason we argued is cause we used to collect baseball cards and we always wanted to have the better cards, lol, so we'd try trades and all that good stuff.

I'm sorry, maybe I don't understand the point of that interview, but that Glick guy comes off like the jackass imo. First off, anyone that is in favor of the taliban staying in control has to have a bit of a warped view, especially when you consider the way women are treated there, but secondly this guy isn't even upset about the fact that his dad died. He is denying the fact that Afghanistan harbored terrorist, namely the taliban and Osama Bin Laden.

It also looked to me like those quotes could of been taken out of context. I'm referring to his very last quotes.

Damn the entire show was so freakin funny. There were 3 other comedians along with Dane Cook who was the last one on. Luckily we were able to sit in the 2nd row which was really cool. I don't know how we were able to get up there, cause we weren't exactly the first there, but I ain't going to complain, lol. Every comedian up there was great. Dane Cook was the best, but this guy named Bob Marley was one of the funniest comedians I have ever seen. Of course the only other comedian I've seen live is Pablo Fransisco who is freaking hillarious too. All in all it was awesome. Well worth the 14 bucks and hour drive. Plus, I got home and the Dave Chapelle show was on. Dave Chapelle

I think he's a really talented player, but he's still got a ways to go. He's hit a wall this season, but you can't take away what he's done and I do believe he'll be a very good player. Maybe one of the best centers of all time, but thats still got to be proven as he's a long way off. Oh ya, I do think he needs to pick it up otherwise Houston won't be making the playoffs as the Lakers will pass them.

I also wonder what would of happen had Wells not get drilled up the middle a couple times that year. He was awesome when throwing the ball inside, then like 2 striaght games he got drilled with line shots back up the middle and after that he seemed afraid. He was pitching really good as a starter at that point and pitched really good out of the pen. Then we dealt him as I thought he was developing. But man, Nardi was a jackass. I love how Cooper preaches to his pitchers to attack them. He knows they all got great stuff and he's basically raising there confidence levels by saying just go right at him, you can get them out. He doesn't doubt them one bit like Nardi did, who would just rip on his pitchers, which isn't productive at all.
-
You almost wonder if these people are just pissed the Sox dealt them or if they have legit complaints. I know most of the Sox seem to love the team and organization.

Lol, after that deal, I had my signature for a while that Kenny Williams should be castrated and fired. I never liked that trade from the get go, but it was one deal and I've came to forgive him for it and I've been one of his biggest supporters.
