I'm already getting used to calling it the Cell.

most of the pitching prospect are about 1 yr from being ready, except for maybe rauch. Well Almonte is ready. I think Sanders is ready too. Munoz is ready, but since he threw so much the Sox would be best off working him slowly this year.

http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=3106 I don't know what time it is, all it said was it was on Wednesday.

My favorite part about this contract is how its the first corporate deal structured to the point that the owner can't pocket the money or say he spent it on players. He has to use the money towards renovating the stadium, which assures sox fans that the park will look a lot different in the coming years. I wonder what the plans will be for this offseason and the next, cause once 2005 roles around, they will be done. Homer porch, redone upper deck; What else?

I am starting to like this Suggs guy and I also like Newman from Kansas State. Either one of them would really help the defense; The Bears could then draft someone like Suggs from Virginai Teach (Rb) in the 2nd round or go with Ragone or Simms or Bollder in the 2nd and then take Mcgahee in the 3rd. You deal a 7th for Kordell and redo the contract and then you have Kordell, Miller, and a pick. Thats 3 qb's, you have a stud rb, a stud de or cb and money to go out and sign someone like David Boston. You may even have enough to get Colvin resigned as well.

Thats pretty good Sec. As far as that whole phone scam, I can't believe that hitting #90 would do anything. Thats something anyone could hit on accident. Maybe it works if your both using the same system at the same school or something, but I don't got to worry about that. If your worried about a scam, be aware if people call you claiming they are from a major company and that you have an overdue bill and they ask you for your credit card number. This happened to me once, but the idiots called at like 3 am so I knew it wasn't some company. Plus, you never give you credit card number out over the phone, unless you call the person/store.

In the very last sentence were you referring to Guerrier or Munoz? Also, do you get to watch quite a few Birmingham games? Thanks for all your comments on those prospects. I liked Guerrier in spring last year. I was angered when they dealt him for Marte and Edwin Yan, but in retrospect it looks like a good move. Marte is filthy while Yan has amazing speed and could turn into a pretty good 2nd baseman, although he has a ways to go.

Welcome aboard Hudler. Or should we call ya the wonder dog This year the Barons could be fun to watch if there pitching comes through like I think it will.

I'll have to check that out. What time does Instant Replay come on? Thanks for the info John.

It always seemed like MJ looked to walk and would just hope they would throw balls.

Latest rumors have them considering a deal for Kordell Stewart.

Nice Post Ross. Your definately learning and your a pretty sharp Sox fan. Hopefully we'll all be cheering together on these boards and in the stands later in the season when the Sox make the playoffs and win it all!!!!!!!!!

Soxnet.net will offer $1, but the dollar has to go towards renovations to the tatoo that he will be getting on his back that says: "Real White Sox News, For Real White Sox Fans"

Well, I guess Sesame Street won't be giving us any money anytime soon. So for anyone looking to get there corporate name on a website for a measly 68 million, you know where to find us

It makes sense for the Cubs. If I were them I'd go after him right now. With a shortstop like him they could just compete, cause it would actually give them some pop in the lineup. He'd definately make sense for the Sox, but I haven't even seen where its a shoe in that he's on the market. They are considering it, if he doesn't sign, but would likely hold onto him till the deadline.
-
I'd tell him to forget switch hitting.

Of course I was right! Interesting too was that KW went on to say (as I heard it) that Cruz was in the Fick category in terms of personality and had no chance to play for the Sox, and KW made reference to bad club house chemistry in 2001 and 2002 as opposed to 2000 and that now personality is factor in considering players, haing learned their lesson, and that the Sox will take a player with slightly lesser talent who would provide better chemistry than a player with slightly better talent that would be a clubhouse cancer. Whose Cruz? Nelson Cruz or Juan Cruz?

From what I've heard, Aol/Time Warner wants to sell and Ted Turner wants to buy the Braves back. The Tribune is supposedly considering quitting the biz as well to sell, but who to I don't have a clue. I know you can't have one person own two teams.
-
Hate to tell ya all, but if we get a 68 million dollar offer, we'll be accepting it, only to buy a share in the White Sox
-
That deal got a cancer off this club and brought the Sox an offensive weapon for the year who came up with many clutch hits and it also brought a pitcher who threw great while heatlhy. That team overachieved, no doubt, but they did it thanks to the help of that deal.

I think I'm gonna be out late in May, so hopefully they will be playing someone good then.

Great Falls is going to be replacing the rookie team in Arizona. They will now play in the Advanced Rookie Pioneer League. Here's a short clip from back in September that I found in our archives. http://www.soxnet.net/affiliatechange.html
