  1. No way should we include Crede...period. Well, if its for Colon and Vazquez I'd figure out a way to live. I don't think the Sox have any 3rd base prospects near ready though, so they'd have to pick up someone else and the fact is they aren't capable of doing that and I don't want another year of Manos at 3rd. KEEP Crede, deal some prospects for Colon.
  2. We all know Bud wants Shoeless Joe in the hall of fame, but the problem is if he goes in then Pete Rose will have to go in and thats something Bud can't stand for and I pretty much agree with him.
  3. For once I hope that Peter Gammons is right. I do think the Sox are going to have a good team this year.
  4. Im telling you, it was 6-2 when we came back. We scored 2 runs in the eighth, 3 in the ninth, they scored one in the ninth and we scored 4 in the 10th. They mighta scored one in the tenth but Im not sure. Ya know, maybe were thinking of different games. What was the final score of the game youre thinking of? Mine was 11-7. We were playing the Angels in the game you were thinking of, right? Ill find a boxscore and post the link. I think the two of you are talking about completely different Angels comebacks, but maybe I'm wrong. I just know the one I'm talking about was at Edison Field and I was at that one.
  5. This year the Sox can basically offer him whatever they want, but it figures to be around 600k.
  6. First off welcome aboard. Secondly, its just Sox management. We all sit and hope and wait that the Sox will bring in a quality starting pitcher, or even someone like Rick Helling or Robert Person that could step in and provide a veteran presence, but even that is doubtful. I still am holding out at the possibility of getting Colon.

    Joey Cora

I never heard about Joey Cora juicing it. He had a pretty good major league career though.
  8. I'm not sure, I think they are a bit backwards from the conversion cause I think its supposed to be the order you signed up, but I know you were on the very first to sign up and I was the first, but my number is way back near yours. I don't think their is any true importance to it though.
  9. Sorry bout that, we thought we had to be close to it at first, then we found out we could sit back real far and it would come in clearer. Of course we still have a lot to learn. THANKS FOR LISTENING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Thanks everyone, that was real fun. Gary and I had a blast, just put all your feedback and comments here or message us (Bullsback and Alawicious1786) or email us at [email protected] Sorry bout the technical difficulties but were going to work hard on solving them.
  11. I remember Magglio's rookie year. I didn't have a clue who that guy was, he came up and absolutely tore the cover off the ball. Can anyone tell me if he was actually highly thought or anything? I thought he was just a call up that ended up shocking the world, but at that time I was about 13 and didn't know anything about the minors like I do now.
  12. Yep, one of the worse trades in Cubbie History, or it could be if Garland keeps growing and ends up living up to his hype.
  13. I'd look for Jose Cruz. Jr, but Finley would be a good veteran pickup. Of course, he's on the way downside of his career, but he's really good defensively, has a ring, and is a great leader. I don't want to do it if it costs us a first round pick though. I also love the idea of Palmerio.
  14. This team isn't as bad as advertised, but having Bartolo Colon would make it a huge upgrade.
  15. Very well written. I think the Sox have a real good shot right now.
  16. Latest Update I heard today on the radio from one of the beat people that the owners are talking and are having a meeting to force the Expos to get their payroll down and they'll have 3 days to do it. That means Vazquez and Colon must go and the Marlins are supposedly out of the race as are the Red Sox, although both still must be considered as possibilities. Still...this makes me even more excited, cause when your forced to make a deal and everyone knows it, it means they won't get as good of value.
  17. Wow, if we got two of them...I'd do Garland, Malone, Diaz, and a relieving prospect for Vazquez and Colon.
  18. Its no longer on the main page, so I'm going to have to ask Murcie to email it to me, then I'll get it set up.
  19. I'll do it right now..I am so very forgetful.
  20. I'm gonna make my predictions on the show tomorrow.
  21. Brad Penny has been marked by all teams. Every gm out their has the fear that he's already done serious damage to his arm and will most likely miss plenty of games if not seasons. He was overworked and consequently they fear his arm has been ruined. I look only to the Expos or free agency right now. Of course if Penny can be had for next to nothing, I'd definately do it.
  22. It was supposed to, but those plans were axed as they had so much trouble getting the new labor deal, they decided not to bother with that aspect for another year or so. They are supposed to be discussing that this offseason, but I haven't heard of them doing so.
