  1. I dont' mind Myers, but I think Kreuter is much better. In all honesty, I don't care what veteran we sign, because I think they all are capable of teaching Miguel how to handle the pitchers. Anything we get out of their bat is just a plus.
  2. Interesting. Carpenter has a lot of potential, especially as a swingman, imo. I'd be all over this signing. The guy is a good starter. Look at his number. The only thing I'm wondering is if he's coming off an injury. Does anyone know if thats the case, cause he only made 13 starts last season. The last of which was made in August. Anyway if you look at his career numbers, you'll see that the year before he made 34 starts with 3 cg's and 2 shutouts. He was 11-11 with a 4.09 era on a lousy team. That was his 2001 stats. In 2000 he made 32 starts and was 10-12 with a 6.26 era, but the two years before that he was really good. In 98 he was 12-7 with a 4.37 era and then in 99 he was 9-8 with a 4.38 era and 4 complete games. This guy has a very strong arm and has thrown a ton of innings. I'm thinking now would be a great time to pick him up, as long as he isn't coming off a severe injury. Very smart move by KW, if he would pick him up at like 500k.
  3. Let me go out and say I no longer have any interest in acquiring Astachio. This guy makes way too much money. If the Sox made this so called deal, they'd be adding an extra 7 mill in salary for next season. That 7 mill would be much better spent on Paul Byrd, etc. I actually think you would be able to get Byrd for 5-6 mill and then KW could tell JR he actually saved him some money. I am really hoping this rumor is from the Mets side, that or the Mets are going to pay all of his salary. At 11 mill a year, he isn't worth Carlos Lee.

  5. He's gonna be a stud imo. Come on Bulls, win the lottery
  6. I'm with you Cerb. He's a very competent gm, and I think if he had a big time budget, he'd be a very good gm.
  7. I like Astacio. Isn't he a free agent?
  8. I read it somewhere about 2 weeks ago, but I don't even remember where and didn't think of it too much.
  9. Well, that could bring some truth to the speculated Ryan Dempster for Willie Harris deal, as the Reds now could use a second baseman.
  10. Gary, he made you one, but it didn't turn out too hot, so he's gonna make you another one.
  11. Haven't heard many rumors at all. The only rumors I've really heard are the Dodgers may deal Adrian Beltre, but I don't know who for, and that the Cubs are interested or at least talking to a bunch of people. Otherwise its been a pretty quiet day.

    DA BEARS PLAY

I will always root for us, I just want to see the youngsters develop and I'm happy. I get real pissed watching the team play like crap, but I also want a high pick and I think we should be sitting at #2.
  13. I like picking up Casey Urlacher as a safety to see what he can do. As far as Colvin goes, I like him a ton, but right now I'd tag him and see what we can get on the trade market for him. I'd say we could get a first rounder and 3rd rounder of maybe even a 1st and 2nd and if we could do that it would be huge. I like Colvin a ton, but he looks lost out their in coverage. Then renegotiate with Holdman, look to sign a veteran or draft a linebacker, and go with Knight, Howard, Urlacher, Holdman, Caldwell and another. Thats still a real deep core.
  14. To me it really looks like Chandler doesn't want to play. I like how he spreads the ball, but Gary, you were right, Miller is way better then Chris.
  15. 2000 Rushing yards, but he didn't have over 100 yards against Ohio State, Michigan or Iowa or at least I think those were 3 of the schools he struggled against.
  16. Yep, he's the guaranteed first pick. I really hope that the Bulls win the lottery cause we could use a stud of a shooting guard. Remember folks, the Bulls game is also nationally televised tonight on ESPN or Tonight so I'll be flipping back and forth between both games, mainly paying attention to the Bulls game.
  17. Gary, give me your email addie and I'll email it to you. The site isn't going to go live until we are all organized and ready.
  18. Lol, I hope you won't mind seeing him put those kind of numbers up in AAA.
  19. Doesn't shock me, I can't complain about whose in their. I'd say Dorsey should be in their ahead of Leftwich. Now my vote goes to Brad Banks of Iowa.
  20. Your probably right, but I can just see the Brewers offering him a lot. Heck, it would take me a lot more money to play for a crapola team like the Brewers.
  21. I'm with everyone else, leave him in the pen. I like having a guy in the pen who has a ton of stamina, but with 2 pitches, he isn't a starter, he's a damn good reliever though.
  22. Did Selig own them back then?
  23. I'm with you Gash, I'll give it some time. Of course the computer designed graphics look terrible. I just hope they figure a way to fix it. I won't care about it though as long as the product on the field is superior to what I've seen the past couple years(I want many super bowls and many playoffs)
  24. What times it on and what day?
  25. I just started watching it this season becasue we never had HBO before. Now we get it for free cause we have cable internet and phone service through the same company. Its pretty cool, but I pretty much only watch it on Sundays or for Boxing Matches. If only they could get Ultimate Fighting Stuff on HBO, that would be sweet.
