Its got to be Kingsbury or Banks. I can't see it going to anyone else, unless Carson Palmer has two more huge games, then he could sneak in their. Otherwise, it would be a joke if Dorsey won it.
-
That would be the smartest way to do it. Unfortunately JR won't spend the money. I wish and hope he would, but he doesn't want to lose money nor does he seem all that serious about winning a world series. Of course, I am hoping we can get one stud pitcher. I want Rauch as our #5 anyway. I may be the only one, but that kid is ready.

Michelle, can I send you some fuzzy dice if the Sox end up getting Colon? Or maybe we should just wait and you could send me some 2003 World Series Tickets, cause its a coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:metal

Yep, thats exactly it. The thing is, KW's just as good of a scout as Schueler, in my mind. The only difference is Schueler is a better guy, or at least thats how its percieved. I can't honestly say whats true or not becuase a lot of the time things get out in the news that just aren't true and people have to deal with raps their entire lifes because of it. If you don't know the person or haven't talked to the person, then imo, its difficult to judge him on how good of a person he is.

Konerko was getting the money either way. I still say the Sox gave him about 2 million a year too much, but ehh, Konerko is a great player. As far as Thomas's money goes, it hasn't been given to anyone cause Thomas is most likely coming back. He hasn't gotten any offers from anyone and so far no team is really interested in him.

Murcielago's new personal graphic thread.......
Chisoxfn replied to MurcieOne's topic in Soxtalk Classics
Hey Mark Cy Young Porzio would like a personal graphic. He asked for one here, but the back end of this thread was all messed up for some reason so I cleaned it up. Messed up meaning it was looking all weird. -
Check the post again. I added that to the bottom of it. If you want Mark(Murcielago to make you one) go into Club Murcielago and put in a request. He makes custom graphics. It typically takes him a week or so depending on how busy he is. Otherwise you can just surf the net for a photo you want to use.

Baseball is a great thing. I can sit down and if the Sox are playing and just watch the game non stop. I know the players and I really understand the gameplan and such. I know baseball like I know no other sport. Its fun trying to think of what the manager should do, and then second guess them. Their are just so many things they can call: hit and run, sac bunt, drag bunt, squeeze, straight steal as well as all the bullpen changes, intentional walks, etc. Plus its damn fun to play.

Yep, all that after cheapshotting the hell out of them. I think the punter and kicker should fight on TV for charity or something. Great way to raise money for a cause as well as settle a grudge. I wonder who'd do the dancing at the end.

I think one more and you move up again, but I ain't positive. As far as quotes go, simply hit the quote in the certain post you want to reply to and that will set it up so it will quote what that person is saying. If you want to do quotes on something else simply do this Before the quotes put this:

Good god, Booker at qb? What the hell are they thinking, I Think we all know Leon Johnson is the Bears true qb. I mean his one pass this season was truly amazing. I do know I'd take either of them over Burris. Of course Burris does make it a hillarious game.

Look at the top post in this thread and click on the link. Basically Saurbraun and Grammatica are both aholes in my book. Stupid ass Jumping Grammaticas.

Lol, I know one thing if the Stillers wanted to deal him for like a 4th round pick in a purely salary cap dump, I'd do it. Of course that ain't going to happen. Bears have to look to the draft to find their next starter.
-
Kingsbury would of been a great pick if we were in the same situation as the team was last year. Of course were not, instead we have a high high first round pick or at least should and are going to have a shot at Carson Palmer, Leftwich or Ragone. If we can't get one of those 3 then I'll wait till the 2nd round and try to land Banks. If Banks is gone then Kingsbury may be my next favorite and he should be a great pickup in the 3rd round or so. Also, I want the Bears to draft a reciever out of USC named Kareem Kelly in the 3rd round. I wouldn't mind seeing the Bears deal down for 2 mid first rounders as well. Then take a qb their as well as either a db or dlineman and then draft reciever/db in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

It should be kick ass. The Bulls got to play some freaking defense tonight. 99ppg given up while they score 94 just isn't going to cut it. Bill, get them to cut down and play more like a team. It don't take much to cut the points down drastically. Basically hard play and cleaning up on the boards and they will drastically improve from a 4-7 team to a 7-4 team. Shaq may not play, but I think we all know he'll be playing and the Lakers should be fired up. This is a tough tough road trip as they move onto Utah Saturday night.

I think Kordell will bring his A game and do all he can to create a qb controversy. Kordell at times looks really good(Like he did for almost all of last season). This year he struggled, but other then the picks his numbers weren't horrible. I'd rather have Kordell then the current crop of Bears qb's.

If we won a bunch of series we'd be hated. I wish fans hated us cause typically when a team is hated they are winning. Of course I don't think more people hate the Cubs in all honesty. What the hell is their to be jealous of. They suck just like the Sox have sucked historically. I'd understand if the Cubs were some powerhouse but they weren't, and neither were the Sox.
-
I'm all for bringing in veterans. I think this team needs a veteran pitcher and it wouldn't hurt to have a verteran backup catcher or starting centerfielder or even backup outfielder. Of course it is a good idea to wait until the deadline. Until then the Sox don't really know what to do. They can't move Lee and then find out Thomas is gone. I smell about 2 to 3 moves this offseason and thats it. Hopefully KW makes them worth while. By the way its always good to see another fellow Californian on the Board. It sure is hot for being the weekend before Thanksgiving. Welcome Aboard Of course if we bring in a top line pitcher or even just a good one, then to me Rauch should be our 5th man. I really like Jon and think he has the poise and ability to be sucessful right off the bat. He's got control, stuff, and as long as that arms healthy he should be here.

Well Kemper, that post aught to go down as history as it was the 10,000th post at Soxtalk.com Nope, you don't win a prize, but maybe one day when this site is much older and even bigger, their will be a history page and you'll be included in it, lol.

Well they didn't exactly win the big game with Schu either. Reason being he was too infatuated with the youngsters and would never give a couple of them up to get that one big time player. Well, other then the George Bell deal.
-
Well they were working fine, its just a couple of the side features had been disabled.
-
That was one awesome season.
