    Holy Hell

Earlier today we had a ton of guests on as well and plenty of members. I think we are getting more popular, or so thats what I hope.
  3. Where does that feeling come from. He himself said he wanted to leave. I thought he was replying to someone telling to him and he said it sarcasticly or something like that. I dunno, I'm confused now.
  4. If they do, I'm going treasure huntin :metal
  5. Plus, The Expos are looking to dump salary, not pick it up.
  6. I don't think he was saying he hated America. I think their are many thing he doesn't like and whether we agree him or not, I got a feeling he likes America quite a bit.
  7. Thats right, I forgot about Sammy. He's the one guy we gave up that really turned into a superstar.
  8. I'm just saying, what did Mckay do that was so great? What did Fernandez do that was so great after he injured himself. I mean Blackjack flicked the fans off in New York and he never amounted to a hill of beans after he left. Ya, we've lost guys, but they haven't went on to have MVP seasons or all of a sudden turn into studs. We haven't had Pedro Martinez trades like the Dodgers did. We haven't let someone like Greg Maddux leave at his prime, but if Buerhle goes, then I would compare it to that.
  9. Lol, I can't promise it yet, but I like the idea of some fun games that people can use. I'm gonna to put that on the list of things to do when I learn how to develop this board into an even more interactive page.
  10. Well if you ask me Guillens career was over when he left the Sox as was Jack Mcdowell's. He never amounted to much anything after he left. Neither did Alex Fernandez(Injuries) or Wilson Alvarez. Ventura did end having a few more good years, and I can't even say what will happen with Ray Durham. Christensen is still in the minors for the Dodgers while Bradford started out good, but we wouldn't have Olivo without him. And with Cameron we wouldn't have Konerko. I'd say we got the best of the Konerko deal and the jury is still out on the Olivo deal.
  11. This is the thread where all recommendations should be made. You tell us what you'd like to see different about the board or about Soxnet.net and we'll do what we can to get it done.
  12. Don't know if anyone noticed that it was down, but I'm working on intregrating a new stat system that will show tons of stats for all that are interested. It is pretty much finished except I ran into trouble with memory on my computer and for some reason it won't let me make the notepad file any bigger.
  13. This is the thread where I'll mention the latest improvements that are made to the board or latest things that are going on.
  14. Great move, they are going to be world series contenders. They have some good young pitching and they are going to place veterans around it. They also have some great young position players. Look out for the Phillies.
  15. Lets just work of recent times of the late 80s till present.
  16. If we are the farm system for all of the majors then who has become a star since leaving the Sox?
  17. Ya I noticed that great quote when I was reading through it. I just hate ripping them cause I know I am prone to make mistakes like that, lol.
  18. Wasn't it me who said how stupid it was but hey, Blame Canada...oh wait, I mean Heather.
  19. Its scary, but in a sense its great. I mean only in this country can people step up and say hey, I don't like the way this is, or hey he's a lousy president. Most other places you'll get murdered or called for treason if you pulled something like that. I know one thing, ya, their may be things that need to be improved and I think that Democrats and Republicans both feel that way, they simply differ on how they should be done. Both want to make this country better and thats whats key. As far as voting, I say f the communist and socialist cause I could care less about their vote. The independents and everyone else, they can come out and vote, but I don't need a crappy system like communism or socialism here.
  20. Come on Carson Palmer, oh ya!!!!!!!!
  21. Great Post SI, and I do know about how if you lower taxes you can still increase the amount in. It was one of the key things Regan said for Reganomics and it was one of the things that did come true. The key is that happened because the economy ended up going up, but right now I honestly don't think the economy will be on its way up for another year or two minimum. I always figured it would go down, mainly because the Stock Market was so inflated and stocks like Amazon were trading for large amounts of money despite the fact that the companies didn't even make any money. All it did was lose money. Si, like you, I know I can't tell people how to vote and it all has to do with how you see things. Typically that happens just by how you experience life and the type of life you live and who you are around. Me, I am a registered republican who typically stays within his party, but is willing to admit at times when I feel that the republicans are doing things wrong. Of course I get disgusted and sickened at the things many of the democrats that are in office pull. It absolutely horrifies me with the chinanigins they pull, like they did in New Jersey and I don't understand how they get away with it. Still thats my opinion and I think we all are entitled to our opinions on this board and in life, its why America is so great.
  22. And I see that you're reading right out of the Republican GOP Head Up the Ass Conservative Polices handbook as well. Well I don't want to really get into a debate of Cerb's big speel, cause in fact as a Republican I do believe Reganomics doesn't work. It could of worked if spending wasn't so damn high, but when spending goes up and you decrease taxes your asking for something. I also happen to think Bush and the republicans are idiots to grant a tax cut right now, and no the tax cut doesn't only help the top 1%, but if the make the most money and pay the most taxes they will end up benefitting the most because of how much they have going in. The reason I'm against the tax cut is simple, we can't afford to cut taxes right now when government spending, on a possible war in Iraq as well as preventing this country, is going to go through the roof. All it will do is make the deficit huge, and thats not something we need to do right now, if we can prevent part of it by simply keeping tax levels where they are at. I'm all for Tax Cuts, the timing just isn't right right now. Oh ya, Red Necks and Blue Collar workers aren't the only ones who vote republican. You don't see me calling teachers stupid because they vote democrat.
