  1. I know one thing, dump Fizer and Crawford for another quality player, maybe we can get a starting guard and then Hassell can come off the bench, which is where I think he's best suited. Baxter is a stud pickup in the 2nd round, yet another great late round pick up by Krause to go with Hassell of last year. Now the Bulls have to dump the triangle, I have never seen an offense have so much trouble doing anything. They just pass around the arc and no one seems to go in and penetrate because it isn't great for the triangle. The thing is Jrose and Jwill are both exceptional at doing that and we've looked the best when they are penetrating and dishing and drawing fouls. Dump Fizer, I like the guy a lot, but he's a freakin black hole!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Gary, I'm with you on this. Did you happen to see that Chandler is starting again on Sunday. Man, he's sucked since he's came in and he takes way too many sacks. We are definately going to get a high pick this year (Knock on Wood, lol) Personally I'd like to see us dump both of our qb's this offseason, draft one and then sign a vet in here who will be happy to eventually back up. I wouldn't mind bringing someone like Charlie Batch in here. I never knew why no one liked him, he's a solid qb who busts his butt.

    Why?

I'm kind of curious as to why, just because someone is on the Cubs and no longer is with them it makes them trash or scrubby garbage? I mean just cause Kimm wasn't going to manage their doesn't mean he stinks. They raved about how good of a AAA manager he was and how great of a baseball guy he is. I know the players who he played for thought the same. Ya, he wasn't cut out to be a manager in the majors, but he didn't exactly have a lot to work with either. Oh ya, are you guys also saying that when Maddux left the Cubs he was crappy too? I know one thing, their are a lot of Cubs that I'd take to help our club, mainly most of their starting pitchers.
  4. Sox won't go anywhere, they are an original team or damn near an original team and someone would buy them, trust me on that. I know many of you doubt that fact, but someone would. They probably would be tempted to move the stadium somewhere else, but since its so new I doubt they'd do it.
  5. If Bryd fails then he fails, but to me he'd be a good pickup. The guy knows how to pitch and can go deep into games. Also, I don't think KW is the worse gm in baseball, I see many that are a lot worse, but everyone just hates management so much that they can't ever look past it. I know that pisses a lot of people up, but thats what I see. I think Phillips is worse, the Marlins gm is worse, the Orioles Gm is worse, the Rockies gm is worse, the Royals Gm sucks, the Rangers gm sucks. What I'm getting at, look around baseball, plenty of gm's aren't that great, and just cause KW doesn't spend money or makes one bad trade doesn't make him terrible. He's still no worse then any of these other gm's at putting together a major league club, and he's way better than any of them at developing a minor league system that is exceptional.
  6. What does being a 3rd base coach teach you about managing? Nothing..but managing a minor leauge club in AA where you have total control of the reigns, now that accomplishes something.
  7. I still firmly believe two teams should be contracted, but we'll have to wait 5 yrs for that to happen.
  8. I'll pass. I don't want to take on his salary. I'd much rather sign someone at that price and not have to give anyone up. Neagle is a bum, plain and simple. He's mediocre and it shows how many teams have foolish gm's.
  9. Good points by all. Still, Backman spending time with the minor leaguers serves him much better then being a 3rd base coach. In all honesty, Backman may be in the running for our managerial position if the Sox fail to make the playoffs next year.
  10. ABC's Kick Butt!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Lol, Mark. Icy Hot would be the perfect thing, and if that fails go with Ben Gay.
  12. Could you guys imagine if the Sox went out and signed those 3? Damn, we'd be destined for the Series. Then again, Thome would probably hurt his back as would Maddux and Glavine would get hit.
  13. Am I wrong or doesn't Keynsian economics simply deal with the spending multiplier and the way of looking at it? Then their is also a monetarilistic way of looking at the mulitplier as well?
  14. Gary, Mike's been a Sox fan longer then you've been alive.
  15. Ya, haven't you figured out that Cy Young Porzio is really Tony Danza?
  16. Its a preview of something that may just be on the way. It was the first creative name that has ever came to my mind.
  17. Gary, you and I are about the only optimistic people here that think JR will actually loosen up his purse strings and spend money. He's cheaper then me and you, who always complain about who will pay the tip when we watch the Bears games on Sundays.
  18. Ya I know and she's in my room. Thats right, a pornstar lives in the room I used to sleep in, lol.
  19. Damn, thats an interesting think you can do. You screw the tv for the guy you want, lol. :eek
  20. Chandler had a very solid game with 15 points.
  21. Yep, he's back with the M's.
  22. Umm, last I looked free agency hadn't started yet so Glavine is still a free agent, simply that. I didn't even know he could talk to other teams. I have read that the Mets are going to make a push at Glavine and are going to try and get Lee Mazoni.
