Well I have kind of got a bit lost in this thread, so I'll start from here. My favorite thing about this Iraq situation is we aren't going their for the civilians. It isn't their fault that they have Saddam running their country and it is only Saddam that should be effected and his groups and infastructure. We destroy that and then position the country to the point where Iraq can nominate someone else to take charge. Ya, its kind of like nation building, but sometimes people need some help and I think Iraq doesn't really want Saddam their anyway and even if they don't, we have to protect our well being as they are one of our major threats.

I'm surprised that you all aren't pleased he was on the phone dealing with that instaed of trying to make another one of his infamous trades.

I know one thing, we aught to pick up a reciever sometime in the draft next year, because Booker and Terrell are the only ones who are likely to amount to anything. Mrob will likely be gone and Merrit just don't do ti for me and Dez is a backup. I always talk him up, but damn he just don't do it. DT kind of fits in the same boat, but the guys a playmaker. I know one thing, Robinson(Koren) sure is ripping it up in Seattle. I remember he was the big guy I wanted.

I think the base is their. I like Rose a whole lot, I jsut wish he could play better defense. Offensively he's incredible but I wonder if he will be able to share the ball with Jwill effectively. Both are big time play-makers that could definately help this team. I'd love having Jalen here and then move to acquire Dunleavy with him as our starting 2 guard and Hassell coming off the bench as well as Erob at the 2 and 3 and Hassell could even back up at the one defensively with Jalen running the point when Jwill is out. Then Marshall backs up the 4 and 5 as does Baxter. Fizer out of town, crawford out of town.

IT sucks. I'm mad that my boy DT is gone for the year. I was hoping to see him develop after his injury, but now we will be stuck seeing the same recievers the rest of the year. I am glad we cut Baxter cause I think we should give Davis and the guy we signed from Penn State all the duties. Bears also signed Travis Coleman, a corner, from their practice squad to the roster.

This could turn into a great move if the Bulls can land a better defensive small forward. Anyone up for Shawn Marion? I'd love to pick him up. He's a solid small forward that can play offense and defense and is very young. I think the Bulls also must move Marcus Fizer cause Lonny Baxter is a pimp. I'd move Fizer and Crawford for a 1st round pick and back up point guard or just move Fizer and keep Crawford. The one thing I want to know is if the Bulls could land Vince Carter for Jalen Rose, Fizer, and Crawford as well as a future first. I don't know how salaries work, but I wouldn't mind the move. Dunleavy is another guy I'd like to acquire, but not for Rose, I'd rather look to move Crawford, Fizer and a future pick or something. Then deal Rose for Latrell or another very very good player, maybe Eddie Jones and a pick.

Well we could easily give up Carlos Lee or even Aaron Rowand cause we have Joe Borchard waiting in the wings. We could also package Jose Valentin, but I don't think they want him. We also have a plethora of pitching prospects that we can offer.

I don't understand at all why that would be considered so terrible. My only guess is someone thought it was racially motivated, I think we all know that isn't the case.

Its gonna be an ugly MNF game. Yep...even uglier then the one played against the Packers earlier this season. SI, since you've seen Bulger more then I have. What can you tell me about his arm strength? Does he have a gun? If he has an arm, then I say offer the Rams a 2nd round pick for him and Candidate or something like that. Or swap first rounders.

Michelle, the Sox can't be afraid to make moves simply because past ones haven't panned out for whatever reasons. If we do that then the Sox will always live in mediocrity, something I am very sick of. I say make the deal, as long as we don't have to give up any of our core players and that we will still be able to have all the position players we need, etc.

They did get Lee Stevens.

In eqivalent terms it would of been like the Sox trading Borchard, Rauch, and Harris or Jimenez or Hummell. Something along those lines, imo.

They landed the best minor league shorstop in the entire minors as well as some premiere pitching prospects if I recall correctly. Brandon Phillips is a power hitting shortstop that is supposed to be the real deal with power to hit 30 plus homers. Ian, am I right on them acquiring some front line pitchers? I thought they landed at least one real good pitcher.

Walton is bad, but no one is worse then Tim McCarver. He was terrible during the world series. So many useless facts or simply the wrong fact.

They never said he was hurt. They simply shut him down for precautionary reasons. I think they feel he pitched enough in his full season down in Birmingham(AA) and when they saw him struggle early they figured he was fatigued and didn't want to risk injury.

All I know is all I want in our announcers are people are very knowledgeable, sound right, and are able and willing to speak their mind about the Sox. I don't need them to sugar coat whats going on, just tell us.

Hey Cali You missed the most rain California has had in the past couple years or at least where I am. We got a whopping 3/4's of an inch or so. Its all windy here with Santa Ana's so enjoy the rest of your stay in Florida.
