Konerko was the man in the Dodgers organization. First game I ever saw him play was at the free way series against the Anaheim Angels. Karros was going to miss about the first month of the season so PK was going to be their starting first baseman. He hits 2 homers and I told my dad that guy is awesome. He struggled with the Dodgers out of the gate, got traded later that year and eventually wound up with the Sox. Since that one two homer day, he's been my favorite player.

Mario, your a genius. I forgot all about this guy. It would be a good long term move picking him up to about a 2 or 3 year deal. First year guaranteed with the second two option years that have a lot of incentives. Lieber is one of the best pitchers in baseball, and never depended on a hard fastball so he should be able to recover from the injury. The guys a true workhorse. I doubt he does anything for us this year, but the next two years could pay big dividends, so I think that would be a good move. As far as Posada goes, I just say no. The guy makes 10 mill a year and will for 5 yrs if I recall. Thats way too much money for the Sox to pay for a catcher, considering we could easily spend 10 million and acquire someone like Glavine or Maddux. If were going to spend 10 mill, spend it on pitching, not a catcher, especially considering we have Olivo. Plus, with our defense, I don't think we could afford to have Posada and his atrocious arm. He makes Josh Paul look like Pudge behind the plate.

They are classless...yes. The thing is I always at least went under the hope that they treated their big guys with respect. They were loyal to Ray for a long time as well as to Frank, but now they do this. Man, I really am questioning all this crap. Someone who has some time aught to write up an email and go down the list of all of Forbes riches people asking them if they are interested in buying the White Sox, with all of our names on it, saying we'll throw in like 100 bucks a piece.

Its still a bunch of crap if you ask me. How do you expect to win if you can't treat people who have been loyal to you with respect. When Thomas signed that contract a long time ago he did it well under market value and then he gets dicked around by the Sox. I don't have a problem with using the clause, its what its their for, but screwing him from things like this is ridiculous. Gimme their email addie, I'm going to have a talk with them.

How Could You Hate halloween as a kid unless you couldn't eat candy? That would of stunk. I must say it was much better as a kid, but at least now I get to go to a party, only flaw is I'm already tired, lol.

On the local news where I am they were busy discussing how it was part of the east coast west coast thing and implying he was in a gang. It pissed a lot of people off because they were stereotyping and everything else. Its sad news though, he was a legend in the rapping industry. Rest in Peace and find his killer or killers.

At least he sounds sincere about his apology, but it took him long enough to do it. You know he was coached into saying this.

Lol, its odd, today in my anthro class we had a discussion about Baseball and the debate was over why its called the World Series even though it only takes part in America and Canada. The debate was pretty good, but when you think about it, we don't have all the best players in the world here, cause many Cubans and Japanese players can't get out of their countries. Well Cubans can't flee, while Japanese players are under contract for a while.

Thats not the same Gary Majewski we have is it?

I would think the Sox would be smarter and keep their pitcher who threw so many innings away from Japan. Personally I have nothing with hitters going, but let other teams provide the pitching.

I just got a feeling someone like Paul Konerko isn't a yes man. That guy wants to win and I think plenty of playesr on the Sox want to win and they won't be afraid to speak up.

This was awesome. NOw if only I could of seen the game, lol. Its good to see Rose, Hassel, Marshall and Erob all contributing. I think Williams has a lot to work on when it comes to shooting free throws, but I think he will be able to get it done. This is a great start, but we have a long way to go. Veteran leadership of Rose and Marshall helped big time and Hassel hit a couple big threes.

Thanks for the info Nobody you know and Showtime. That would work out as pretty good compensation then if you ask me. I think we all know its better to entrust KW with drafting players then with aquiring them.
