I think its obvious that our entire coaching staff will be gone in the offseason. Jauron will go to the Bengals and Nick Saban will come to the Bears. Saban is a great defensive mind and he will bring in veteran guys to run the coordinator positions and we will be back. I thought it was fun watching Burris. Ya he sucked, but he did some running, and threw a couple beautiful balls that were dropped. He also looked absolutely ugly, but hey, down that much, I had to just laugh.

Hey Hey Hey He's far from the owner of the century. Of course Jr could handle things better. Lets be honest the guy is a jackass, look at the comments he's made. Of course, now he's shut up and he's just plain old cheap. I would love getting someone like Mark Cuban, trust me on that. He's my favorite owner ever.

I agree, its really hard to judge anyone that works under JR cause you just don't know what is their work and what is JR's. I mean, would KW of made the Ritchie deal if he could of simply went out and spend 6 million or so on a pitcher? I don't think he would of, but instead, KW is told to find a diamond in the rough and it makes it so much harder to do. Not sympathizing the move cause it was a terrible one and KW deserves the heat for making it.

Would I do it....Simple...Yes Would it cost us, simple...yes It would cost us Lee, Rauch, Harris and another prospect or so I'd assume it would and I don't think I'd do that. I don't think Penny solves anything for us, so I would stay away from to be honest. I would trade for Castillo and let Jimenez play short, but that isn't going to happen either.

This is another guy I wouldn't mind seeing the Bears draft. He was always thought of as a stud when USC recruited him and he's put up very good numbers his entire career at USC, although he's always overlooked cause he's made some mistakes in games and hasn't grown enough. Still, i tend to put some of that fault on all the head coaches he's had to work with while at USC. He does have a strong, accurate arm, decent speed and a lot of talent and to me he'd be a sweet pickup in the 3rd or 4th round.

I tend to agree with you. I've also heard some people talking about bringing in Elvis Grbac out of retirement to see what he can do. He's probably feeling pretty fresh right about now. Another qb I like, but we won't be able to get is Brock Huard who is now in Indianapolis.

I thought the same thing, but part of me just can't doubt the Angels. This entire series has seen so many comebacks. I'm with Mike though, you can't blame Nen. They weren't even his runners all you have to do is hit 2 sac flies and you get two runs.
-
Glaus is up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and nobody out in a 5-4 game in the eighth with Rob Nen in.

It looks like he is. Means we will see Chris Chandler, but what happens when/if he goes down? I think I speak for us all when I say no to Henry Burris. Could we be going after McMahon or did the trade deadline already pass.

ND still whooped them up good. Oh ya, Iowa whooped up Michigan too. This is turning out to be a pretty damn good college football year. Plenty of top teams that are still undeated means its going to be exciting to see who makes it and who gets snubbed and blames the BCS.

So the Sox dropped four places after both 94 and 97. Even though 94 was strike shortened, they were only 2 spots lower than they were in 93..... the year they won the Division. Given that, in all probability, they would have hung on to win the Division in 94, the numbers would have probably been BETTER than 93 because 94 was the best shot the White Sox had at winning the WS in my lifetime. Thanks for proving me right HSC Consequently look at our record during those time periods of the 90's. We weren't winning divisions or the wild card with exception of 2000.
-
All I want to know is how can you blame the guy? I wouldn't just spend more and more money only to lose it. You can't act like Tom Hicks and just poor money into ta club only to keep losing it.
-
I'm too stubborn to admit that JR is a total prick and cheap owner. I think its because I'm an optimist and hate to go into something already thinking we are going to lose or suck, it just don't make it fun then.
-
I differ with ya, but thats just cause I don't doubt the fact that we are willing to pay him as long as we are winning and playing good.

Heard on sports talk today out in California a partial interview talking about the White Sox and they mentioned that Foulke will most likely be moved back in as closer next season, unless the White Sox get a great offer for him. They said they won't announce the move until spring training or later in case he's moved.

Notre Dame is going to have to put some points on the board. The Seminoles got a great running attack, as well as a decent passing attack and a solid defense. This is yet another huge game for the Irish, and their defense is going to have to play exceptional but the offense has to show up and put points on the board. They are on the verge of doing it, but they have just been so inefficient and not making mistakes and converting points once they get into the opponents territory.

Remember, Parque has a lot of confidence in himself. I think I would too if I'd of made it to the major league level. They are all exceptional pitchers and have dominated their whole lives pretty much so I'm sure Parque thinks he can still do it the same. Remember when he used to pitch when he first came up and he thought he was Randy Johnson with this long lanky delivery.
-
Ya, I just heard that this morning.
-
Sounds like a good move by Williams. I wouldn't give him guarnateed money when you don't know if he's going to pitch for the Sox. I think Parque will look around and realize the Sox are his best shot and just go their. Maybe a team like the Devil Rays, Rangers or Tigers takes a shot on him.
-
Oh they go back, I was thinking it would go forward for some reason. Whoohoo, this means I will wake up an extra hour early and easily get up in time to see the Bears game, which may or may not be a good thing.

I think Gibsons homer got the credit because he wasn't even expected to be able to hit cause he was so injured.

Dusty's going to San Fran or the Northside of Chicago. Seattle won't offer him the money.

Phillips is one manager that is much worse then Ken Williams.

Ya, they are supposedly broke. I know no one is in the stands. They are the Expos of the USA, well them and the Marlins. Florida teams just blow in the majors.
