Exactly. I'm not annoiting him an ace, but I definately think he could be a solid 3 or 4 throughout the season and in all honesty a solid 3 or 4 on most staffs would be our #2. I'm not saying he'll pitch like a number 2, but he'll provide innings, an the opportunity to win games as well as veteran leadership.

Wells recovered from his back surgery real quickly. He came in this season with the Yanks and flat out pitched and did a good job of it. Now Sirotka and Parque, neither were really veterans and Mike had injury complications. Like I say, once they are healthy I think its easier for a veteran to come back.

Personally I go with the throwback Uni we wear on Sundays at home. Those are just so cool in my opinion.

I brought up his name in the past as a possiblity of someone KW may go after and that possibility became more of a reality as the Astros declined his option making him a free agent. Now I know he's coming off an injury, but he was an All Star in 2000 or 2001 and to me he sounds just like someone KW would go after. He should be willing to accept an incentive laden one to two year deal. He is a veteran who is known as a leader and has a great attitude. Those are a couple things he's preached and of course the most important thing is he should come cheap. Personally I'd be happy with this move, because I tend to think veterans can come back from injuries easier then youngsters(Not Recover Faster), but come back and regain their form faster because they already know how to pitch and get away without having their best stuff. Plus, even if he sucks, I could definately see him helping our youngsters out as he's a very smart pitcher.

I'm sure he would. The key is when your the only one who can offer him anything, then he's not going to get any 6 million a year offers. The whole reason players make so much now is because of free agency.

But blowing them to smithereens before they do the same to us isn't an option. Well, I Think killing them is just fine, its just I don't think we should go into a full scale war. Right now the middle east is in terrible shape and its been that way a long time. If you think a war is going to fix it that everyone must not be paying attention to whats been going on in many of these areas for centuries. These areas have been hot spots for ages and I think what that area needs is some new age ideas, instead of simply going to war. Before we do anything I want them to have a complete plan that we will use and use it effectively and efficiently and right now I think we want to take everything out, but then what. I want everyone knowing what we will do after that in order to calm that area down. Its not something that is going to come easy, but I think its something that could be done or is at least possible. By the way, I never thought I'd even semi agree with Doublem considering I'm very conservative while he's very liberal.

I love my throw back hat I have and the white jerseys we wear on Sundays those are classic if you ask me. I think during a season we should use a lot of our retro jerseys cause I like the retro look. Just say no to short shorts though

I think Pinella is good but Thomas is a hall of fame ball player. Ya, managers are important but I like players first and putting a quality team together. Heck, why not just land Dusty Baker then.

I'm with you on that. I think its just so risky paying a pitcher so much over the long haul cause they are so succeptible for injuries, but its also something that just has to be done to compete. Of course I think those times are changing now because I no longer think we will see guys like Sterling Hithcock making something like 7 million a year.

Remember, JR isn't the only person selling that crap cause every team is and all those jerseys are a disgrace imo.

The logo looks real cool right now, although I love our throw back uni's as well.

Since I've made a lot of changes I'm sure their will be some minor bugs that I will need to take care of, so if anyone notices anything just include it in this thread and I'll fix it.
