I catch your drift and I don't completely disagree with you. I'm not under any illusions about how much the arab world loves us. And I'm not one who normally takes a moderate stance on issues but in this case I fall somewhere between you and doub. Big target, go figure. Who doesn't fall in between my stance and HSC's? I think the only two stances left are rewarding the Arab nation and just obliterating the whole world. Well, I'm not going to go out their and say that hitler is boiling in th arabs blood. Most Arabs are peaceful and Islam is a peaceful religion. Sure it has its flaws, but so does every religion I know of. Of course the biggest flaw is they use it as to how they run the government and things like that don't work. My flaws with the middle east say go after those with weapons. Snipe Sadaam, pull intelligence and make attacks on those bases using Rangers and such. Make these quick attacks, where we blow everything to smitherines. Our intell has to be key in this working of course, but to me this could be the best way to handle the situation. Sure, bring in a bigger army to protect everyone involved on the US end, but also lets not go out their killing civilians. I know it isn't US goal to kill them, but lets try our best not to. Lets get the bad guys, take care of them, and well, I hate saying this, but somehow figure out a way where they can start building a half way decent government. OF course it will piss them off, but isn't the same thing we did with Japan. For Pete Sakes McCarthy wrote their constitution or whatever you want to call it and its worked for them.

I always remember him mentioning after the trade he wouldn't mind coming back here when his contract was up and that he said he never had a problem with Reinsdorf. By the way, it was a good trade, it didn't pan out, but the thought and concept of the trade was good.

Here's what I want to know. Whats so wrong with bringing Todd Ritchie back to give him a shot and see if he can prove it? It isn't like he's promised a slot in the rotation. This is a guy that pitched pretty damn well the first 8 starts, and had a good season or two in Pittsburgh for a real crappy team. Now lets look at the pen, yes I like Valentine or Almonte, but we also have to think of how many minor league relievers actually turn into a damn thing at the major league level. Also, Valentine so far has gotten shelled down in the Arizona League and our bullpen is pretty full right now. Personally, for anyone to call our bullpen crappy is wrong, imo. I can't think of many bullpens with a Keith Foulke, Damaso Marte, Antonio Osuna, and Gary Glover. Those guys all excell in the pen and then we also have Wunsch or Porzio as well as Biddle or Ritchie possibly. The only two I could disagree with is Biddle or Ritchie, but they've earned their right to fight for another season at least at the beginning. Plus, is it really going to hurt Valentine to get some time in AAA? The one flaw I disagree with when it comes to Williams is his whole control ideas, otherwise I don't see what makes him so terrible. I see a whole lot of other gm's that do the job a lot worse then him, and I can't think of many that have built as good of a farm system and put together a solid unit of players to go around Konerko, Maggs and Buerhle.

I just can't believe how expensive ticket prices used to be. I mean the prices for field seats aren't exactly horrible, but to sit out in the bleachers or upper deck is a frikkin rip off compared to what I pay down here in Anaheim. Anaheim's are Terrace 21 Field 24 Bleacher 9 bucks in rigth and center Bleacher in left is 7 bucks club is like 26 or 28 lower upper deck is 12 or something higher upper deck is 7 or 8. The thing is, they have AAA discount on Field, Terrace, Club, and upper Bleacher seats. For Field, Terrace and Club it gives you 10 bucks off, for the upper bleachers it makes it like 5 bucks. I want to know where the Sox stand in relationship to ticket prices.

The Blue Jays have officially given him up. I wonder if the Sox go out and bring him back and see if he can make it back as a possible lefty reliever.
-
I saw that name and I sat their thinking, that it had to of been you. They didn't answer my question.
-
I thought he did a pretty good job answering the questions. I liked his responses when it came to pitchers and his idea of having 16 guys and not just 12. I, am the only one who happens to like Williams as a gm, and I will admit he has things to learn, but trust me in the end, he's going to be good.

I think everyone will like what they see when we release our new main page in a couple months. No huge changes, but a lot of little ones that in whole make it look real sharp. As far as the boards go, I'm stubborn, one change was enough for me.

I hear so many people say that then others deny it. I wonder out of all the stuff we hear from the media, how much is true?
-
Mine is the Birmingham Barons. It could just have to do with the players though cause I've never actually seen any of these teams play live.

If the Angels win 2 out of 3 in Anaheim then I'm going to say the series is over and I still got a feeling the Angels sweep out the next 3 games and then go on to play the Cards or the Giants, I'm still going with the Cards.

That's what we called him on air all summer. lol I've always thought he looked like Willie Mays Hayes and to me its funny that Lofton came in around the same time Hayes did and Sorrano was their around the same time Belle was.
-
Mark it may say that, but trust me that won't end up happening. If that were the case then El Duque and Livan Hernandez would of been in the draft. These Cubans and the agents know how to get around things like this and its wise of them. I'd hate being in a draft at the age of 31 yrs old.
-
Good move by the Rangers, I think he'll do a decent job their. I'm still surpised the Brewers or Mets didn't grab him. For the Mets he'd be a good manager because of all the Vets they have and for the Brewers it would be good because of his name. Still, it looks like the Mets won't do anything until Dusty Baker's season is over.
-
Mark, the draft isn't worldwide yet, so he will not be entering the draft and if he does he won't go until the 5th or 6th round cause typically defectors don't go too early. Of course he won't be in the draft so thats a moot point.
-
Lol, I have to say Chicago is a decent sports town, but we would be great if we ever had winning teams.
-
I don't think anyone was tossed. I just saw the in game update while watching the Angels beat the Twins.
-
Haa, I'm so damn cheap I'd make Reinsdorf look like Georgie Porgie. My moves would always be to go after youngsters with lower salaries, lock them up, and then make a couple bigger signings that hold you over and you eventually deal them.
-
Where are we in the picture Mark??? You got to get us in their somehow, lol.
-
He was 3 for 3 and coming back up to the plate and Morris through a high inside fastball and it started a bench clearing brawl.
-
Bout time someone saw the light.
-
I think like I would if I was a general manager and I Think with my good eye for talent and I think I KNOW talent.
-
Geeze, this ones unanimous and it looks like the Red Birds will be down 1-0 by the time today's game is over with.
-
Ya, Mark, I'd be embarassed for him to see all your anti gay threads, and anti Irish threads and entire everyone other then yourself threads, lol. I figure, a little kiss assing and maybe he ends up getting it.
