  1. Its one reason why I like our chances next year. Cleveland blows, Detroit blows and KC blows. If we handle our division and play good against the Twins as well as play good against the bottom feeders like the Drays, Blue Jays, Rangers, and Orioles(I know they are decent) then we will easily have a shot at the division and should win it. Of course our easy schedule could very well help us get the wild card cause some teams like Boston and New York and then Oakland, Seattle and Anaheim will all be beating eachother up.
  2. I'm going to answer this for Heather or at least attempt to. I think that all the other people in the contest as well as lurkers or posters that may not have the time or whatever to answer the contest will all be reading and looking and they may end up filling in the right answer if someone ends up giving falty info.

    Well

Its not the gm that works cheap, its Jerry Reinsdorf. I have plans to one day become a multi millionaire, but I fear that I won't be able to afford the White Sox and a good salary unless I'm a billionaire. Man, I have to first find a source of lots of money and then start investing. Now as far as our lineup goes. I like our pitching if we get one more starter and KW swears by the fact that we will and one thing I've learned from him is usually when he says he's going to do something he at least tries. The Bullpen is set in my opinion and our offense is going to be good cause we have Konerko, Maggs, Thomas and Caballo. Jimenez is impressive, Crede is impressive, but we can't guarnatee production out of either or at least have a good reason to expect it other then their potential. Olivo is also impressive, especially behind the plate while Rowand has played good since entering the starting lineup and does all the little things.
  4. Ya, I just don't see us getting off to a bad start. To me we have a more complete lineup this time around. We have solid players at 3rd, short, 2nd, first, center, left, and right with a DH. When I say solid I just mean good all around players, nothing great. We also have solid pitching and if we get our #2 pitcher then we'll be in good shape. We have a deep pen and a solid bench with a good farm system.

    Well

Doublem Welcome aboard and he'll have to fight the both of us, cause I'm 19 too. Anyway I think that in a sense you are right that we may just be overly optimistic, but I just can't go an entire offseason scared crapless about the Sox. I'm already scared about the Bears and fear the fact that the Bulls could just stink again this year. As far as your lineup goes, I really think Olivo is there to stay next year with MJ backing him up and Paul on his way elsewhere or staying in AAA in case of an injury. Oh ya Doublem, that was an awesome article. We all talked about it and how much we liked it but we didn't have a clue who wrote it until Ian informed us. Also job there.
  6. Damn it, I hate seeing the freaking Ravens win.
  7. I have kept quiet on this subject but this week I was pissed. Have the Bears ever learned of shifting up the runs. Every run is the same damn thing by the Train and no I don't think thats The Trains' decision I think it has to do with Shoops calls. Oh ya, Terrell needs to start and Mrob should be the 3rd stringer cause both of them are now ready.
  8. At least we have Alfonso Boone and Mike Caldwell as backups.
  9. Are you saying he's gone during the offseason or that he has one more season and then he's fired?
  10. J Paul in LF????? That was my only gripe, thats why I would of had Maggs playin.

    Well

I wouldn't mind picking up a Jacque Jones and if they don't want to give him up, I'd definately take Bobby Kielty. Hey, I know it doesn't happen much in the majors with the exception with the A's, but why not deal one of our guys like Rowand and then let Jones replace him. Then wait to deal Lee or Thomas for a year and then have Borchard come up to replace Jones in center with Jones moving to left.
  12. Ya, that is true cubkilla, but he has brought a lot of talent in here, while giving up just Kip and Fogg. I have to say that things could of been a whole lot worse.
  13. I'm sure a large reason for the decline was the fact that players and owners were fighting, leaving fans worried that their would be a strike. Since their wasn't a strike this time around it should give baseball another 4-5 years to work on its image and gain more fan support. Of course they got to make sure they don't lose it the next time they renegotiate the labor deal.
  14. Exactly, I just hate grading a guy on two trades, the Ritchie one and the Clayton one and it isn't like we gave the Rangers an ace.
  15. How can he be that bad when he got us guys like Jimenez, Marte, Honel, Borchard, etc.
  16. I think that Manuel and KW will talk it out and each will get to chose one guy a piece or something along those lines.
  17. Except this time I think that with a loss, we probably won't make the playoffs and thats unacceptable to me.
  18. I don't mind that lineup too much with the exception that Maggs didn't play. I think he deserved to be out their for the final game of the season.
  19. True, but Backman is awesome. I wouldn't of minded him being our manager let alone having him be a 3rd base coach where he could help out the youngsters he already has.
  20. Alright, but, I don't quite know what the head it here first means, but remember, you heard it first from me, lol. I know how much you love spelling everything right Ian
  21. I meant Saints, but must of accidentally mentioned both. See how honest I am.
  22. Man, yet another Huge Blow to the Bears defense. Its a good thing we have Caldwell to back him up. I have to say Green Bay is a must win.

    Well

Lousy Twins, let them get their winning of the way this year, and then lets see the Sox come back.
  24. You heard it here first. I bet no one else has the same picks I have, muhaaahaaa!
  25. Here's Mine Lofton-F: Stunk after one month Durham-C: Ok at first, but struggled Thomas-D+: Came on Late but still struggled Royce-C-: Bad Bat, Good Glove, Bad Attitude Manos-c-: Bad Glove, Poor Bat, Good Attitude Konerko-A: Consistent, strong player Maggs-A+: Great I'll do some more a little later
