This is probably the answer - but he has had 3 straight good statistical seasons despite terrible qb play. And to your point him and Mooney together makes Bears corp much stronger. I don’t personally watch Washington at all so don’t have any opinion on him other than seeing his stat sheet.

About time for some good news on this front!
-
Really hope this is a minor set back and with rest he comes back with no long term issues and we get to enjoy one of the most bad ass closers in the game!
-
I don’t know who last year saw anything. Dude was spectacular almost all year.
-
If the Sox knew that they would have kept Kimbrel and traded Hendricks in the off-season.
-
If they are still floundering around .500 closer to deadline and Gio and Lynn are doing real good - I wouldn’t be opposed to your idea. I also love me some Trea Turned and star power.
-
Yeah - pitching him in that situation is not a legitimate issue (unless that was like a 3rd straight game or he was already unavailable and TLR pushed him). Sitting him down and than bringing him in the next game would be worse, quite frankly. This is not on TLR (unless he ignored advice or something else and put him in anyway). Ptatc - Since I just associate this with Tommy John - how often do the two actually correlate or come together. Is it actually most of the time in these instances, rest is what the dr ordered and they can be fine or are we at this point just waiting until he ends up with TJS?
-
I wish they could do a 3 way deal - get a wideout like the Washington guy or Metcalf and pay them, let Quinn go to another team and a 3rd team gets a pick.

Please don't let this turn into tommy john.

GT 6/13 White Sox V Tigers 6:10 Chgo Time - Bastard Time

I don't get not giving Perez the shot at this point. Even if it is for a bit - he has all his options right. -
How much of that run differential came from like 3 games. Especially knowing fact that this team hasn't scored many runs at any point in the season (sans the past couple of games).

Soxtalk TMZ - Tim Anderson knocked up a woman that isn't his wife

Closing this until it hits more mainstream news. Who knows if true or not. -
I don’t call for mgrs often on this site - but seriously…wtf. Enough is enough JR!

Let’s see…Souza in another high leverage situation…oh joy!
-
Get yourself right down in Aaa sheets. A couple good weeks of regular work and dialing in that swing and I am hoping we might see a version more like PY Sheets later this summer!

And That's a White Sox Winner !!!!

6/9 GT: LAD @ Sox 1:10pm (Cease vs. Anderson)
Chisoxfn replied to ChiSox59's topic in 2022 Season in Review
This - actually Sousa in the game might have been worse than the 1-2 IBB. Using him in high leverage that isn’t the 14th inning of a doubleheader is crazy talk…crazy talk. -
Souza is horrific. One of the worst pitchers I have seen put on a Sox uniform. Why he is still on big league club and even getting a chance to be used in a high leverage situation is completely beyond me.
-
They need a new mgr - than get the boys back off the DL by 4th of July and shake the league the rest of the way!!! But it can’t stop with mgr - need a new hitting coach too and I have no idea who they would make mgr? Maybe convince Paulie haha.

This - everyone got pissed about Machado (who I was all for too) - but Harper was exactly what this franchise needed. A face of baseball - that true edgy superstar who swung from left side. Machado was better player but marketing wise - Harper would have been huge. They had so many elite options at their finger tips and they pissed it away and than TLR uggh. And menechino is awful. After I saw those Marlins splits on ground ball rates etc - how could anyone have hired him.

I truly think Jerry will make TLR step down after yesterday
Chisoxfn replied to ron883's topic in Pale Hose Talk
No - I also never thought they should hire him and have to apologize to everyone I argued with who said this would be an unmitigated disaster. I never wanted the dude - but I figured they would be disciplined and play smart - this is just awful management and today was a new low. I also have zero clue at this point why a few guys are on the roster. Maybe there counterparts in the minors will suck just as bad - but there is a chance they won’t vs some of these guys who clearly just suck. -

That has to be one of the strangest intentional walks I have ever seen. -
Who is excited for the shift to maybe, possibly come to an end?
Chisoxfn replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This and what LRR has said. Plus - the analytics are really penalizing certain players, especially lefties and are complete inverse of how you develop and grow into hitting. I am sure after 10 years - with shifting occurring more aggressively at minor league levels and other levels - you might than see the league respond, but pretty difficult to do when you don't see extreme shifting until you get to the major league level. And when you combine good pitching with extreme shifting and advanced analytics - you can really take the sails out of people who did what is extremely hard to do (crush the baseball). Baseball always involves some luck -> but I want to see the best players play and I want to see the SS range up the hole and 2B do the same and make sick plays and I want to cheer when I immediately see off the TV a rip back up the middle (because on TV I didn't realize that there is a freaking 3rd infielder in the outfield grass behind 2B). I would also make stolen bases and hit and run metrics mandatory; If teams strike out 10 or more times in a single game - you lose an inning of offense. Okay - maybe not those last two items - but I would love to find ways to bring hit and runs, stolen bases and reduce strikeouts in the game as well (and I get it - some would argue that removal of the shift will lead to increase strikeouts but I don't see how that is the case -> with the shift people aren't changing their swing habits so I don't see why going the other way is going to do much - it isn't like strikeout numbers have been on the decline in the post "shift" era). -

I would deal Derozan while his value is sky high. But I am crazy.
