They could dump Laroche tomorrow if they wanted to...they wouldn't get much, but they could move him. They might be able to trade Robertson and get some value...although the length of his contract makes that problematic. Melky is really the loss and the cost. All is not lost, except for 2015.

One of the effects of high Ks is high pitch counts. Can't K a guy on 1 or 2 pitches. And today was high.

Gillaspie is 7 for his last 20. He hit the lead HR in the 8th yesterday (and then was pulled by the whiz on the bench in the 9th). But, please bench him for Beckham who is ZERO for his last 21, with a couple of walks thrown in.
