  1. Don't worry about Hahn. He has an endless supply of excuses. He can use the "Who could have known?" excuse in a number of ways. From Tatis, to last year's failure (we were predicted to run away with the division last season, so everyone was surprised; certainly not my fault)
  2. Proactive Rick has Bummer locked up for 3 more years.
  3. Yes, that's what Rick has spent his time doing, instead of doing his job.
  4. To me, it's funny, but not fun. It's painful.
  5. Will the Rays match their total of 10 runs in the 7th from last night?
  6. Good lord, I step away to make a sandwich and this is what I get?
  7. Sosa and Colas need to play every day, whichever place. They should leave Alberto at the airport.
  8. I disagree. He's hungry, playing hard, and playing well. Most of the rest of this team is a walking corpse. I hope they keep him there until he stops playing well.
  9. I can't single out Robert. Given this disaster, he's clearly not the only one not hustling, if, indeed, that's what happened.
  10. Given this mess of a roster, I'm glad to see Haseley lead off. That the roster is such a mess, of course, is an outrage.
  11. They won't try to jazz anything up. They'll just send Hasley and Sosa down; get the team back to where it was at the beginning of the year in keeping with the "it's the injuries" motif.
  12. They certainly could swap Remillard for Romy; and they should probably send Colas down before they destroy him.
  13. Who could have known that a trading for pitcher who was in the middle of his 2nd consecutive negative WAR season wouldn't work out.
  14. I see that Bummer gets a $2 mill raise next season; good lord, the way they do these contracts.
  15. Colome doing his thing, I see. Pitches an inning, gives up a hit, a walk, strikes out 2 and picks up a save.
  16. Vinny V. throwing a gem today. He wasn't bad for the Sox last season, although no one seemed to like him.
  17. He actually had a career year right before the Sox traded for him. Trading for career years is not the way to do it. And of course, trading for 1 year rents, especially coming off of 73 wins; what was it meant to accomplish?
  18. And a month after the draft, they decide it's time to rebuild. And several years later, Tampa picks that reliever off the scrap heap and he shuts out ...ahem...for 2 innings. Endless.
  19. Don't forget that, after a 73-win season, Hahn traded Marcus Semien, Chris Bassitt, et al for Michael Ynoa, 1 year of Jeff Samardzija and "the exclusive ability to talk to him (Samardzija) for 10 months."
  20. They were lazy in the rebuild. They did just enough to have 7or 8 frontline players. Hahn napped through most July trading seasons when he could have at least traded relievers when he had leverage he traded a few for Rule5 players). He adamantly refused to build infrastructure such as state-of-the-art analytics.
  21. If the Sox don't come back to win this game, we will have lost the season series to the Rays.
