What a coquincedence. I was in a band myself (we broke up though..) We were more like a heavy metal, alternative, emo type. My friend's band is going to go far I believe. They are really good. Let's just say it was a hit and run but it was a bad pitch to Rowand, and Konerko showed his tremendous speed to steal second. Everyone in the sox bench Hawk and DJ, hell, even Tony G. from the royals were all surprised and laughing when he did.

Koch was touching 95-96. He wasn't hitting it consistantly, but he did hit 96. Yes, Politte hit 99, but that was just one time, and it was on hs first pitch.

Yea, and what if Koch gave up a HR to Stairs? You probably would have said put Marte in to face which ever batter. Even if Marte got rocked it's in SPRING TRAINING!! That decision by Ozzie could had gone eigher way. I'm actually happy our lost came from Marte because he is our best reliever. It would had been even worse if we lost because of Adkins or Jackson giving up a bomb He was just off today.

Man Konerko can burn some rubber!! Too bad Rowand couldn't score him.. Well, I'm off to play catch with my lil bro to ease the pain of the loss.

Wells looked absolutely mature out there today for the Pirates. I remember a highlight when he had 2 runners on, and he struke out the hard of the order for the Phillies. He is an ace in waiting IMHO..

Another positive is Konerko getting back on track with the bat. People here are forgetting about that.

First of all, our bullpen does not suck. God I hate it when we lose a game becasue of anything and then the bashing begins. Those who do that are not true sox fans IMO. I won't even go into Marte being a fluke cause that is one of the most dumbest remarks I've ever heard. Pollite can pitch more than an inning, Ozzie tried to pitch him 3 today but the last inning couldn't get it done. Koch actually touched 95-96 mph today. I'm not disappointed about his performance even with that double from Santiago. I questioned Ozzie's decision on why he didn't leave Koch in to face Staris. But we would had questioned his decision on why he didn't use Marte, so it's a fair decision. The only thing Ozzie messed up on is leaving Pollite in at the bottom of the 9th. But it was just a bad day for our bullpen.

It wasn't Marte's fault. He had a bad game inthe opener just like Koch had one last year. Marte has been dominent and overworked for 2 seasons. Give him time. Hell, Roy Holliday gave up 6 runs today against the Tigers. You think he is gonna do that every time out?

Man I was feelin good too about us. Buehrle pitched a great game (now got a no decision) Konerko was hitting the daylights out of the ball, and Sandy and C. Lee had great games. What happens? Our bullpen f***s up.
