Refs have really helped Tampa Bay in this game against the Hawks. That Murphy match penalty call was one of the worst you'll ever see and he might actually get suspended for it.
-
I've got Los winning it.
-
Oh and this also means Kane will have the A permanently on his sweater.
-
HUGE news for the Hawks. Hang that man's number in the rafters. Such a fucking warrior. A legend in this city and organization. Happy retirement Seabs.
-
Surprised you aren't the one saying Abreu can pack his bags if that's the case....
-
Eloy - Anderson - Anderson (only cause I'll predict Robert misses some time with an injury)
-
I'd still much rather trade him but even I have admitted that this LaVine is faaaar different than the one I've seen in a Bulls uniform and I mean on both ends of the floor. His efficiency, defense, etc. have all been outstanding. I've given credit where credit has been due for him in case you missed it. I still don't like the shit he does at times on the court but I can not get on what he's done this season as a scorer. I've never questioned LaVine's work ethic.

If this Hawks team somehow makes the playoffs, Patrick Kane has got to be the Hart winner. What he is doing is amazing.
-
Look who made the all star team.
-
It's not totally farfetched. His wife plays for the Red Stars (Chicago NSWL team) and he has hinted in the past about Chicago. But this feels similar to Jared Allen to me. A future HOF player interested in Chicago after his prime is over. I would not hate it but it would have to depend on the contract.
-
Embiid proved why he is the MVP favorite currently.
-
Fun fact. Tatis' contract ends in 2035. The Mets would still have to pay Bobby Bonilla one more year afterwards.
-
I think it's a bit of both. They aren't as good as this stretch indicates but they aren't a lottery team either. I still think they're one good #1 defenseman (unless Beaudin/Mitchell/Boqvist can develop into that) and top line player away from becoming quite the team. DeBrincat, Kurashev, Mitchell, Hagel, Beaudin, Kubalik, Suter, Reichel when he gets here, Dach, etc. is a good nucleus of young players to help this older core potentially squeeze one last cup. Oh.. and it's looking like they got a goalie too (Lankinen).

These kids can play eh? @Tony @soxfan49 @southsider2k5

Good for the kid. Get that money young man. This game isn't promised and he's had a couple of injuries as it is. Get that security for life.

I think LaRussa is putting Madrigal and/or Eaton at the top of the order. I get Theriot/Furcal vibes in LaRussa's mind with them. Other than Abreu in the 3 hole, I have 0 clue what he's going to do but I'll take a stab at it. Madrigal/Eaton Eaton/Madrigal Abreu Grandal Eloy Moncada Anderson Robert Vaughn (to ease him in) I hope I'm wrong.

Paxton back to Seattle.

LaVine was outstanding. Simply outstanding. And I say this as someone who isn't a big fan of his. Was efficient, didn't force up any dumb shots (only two I can think of was him forcing when the time expired and a heat check shot but I can't knock him on those and even though he still had 5 turnovers, one of them was him running out the shot clock. He or Coby will likely never have a game like this at the same time again (first two teammates in NBA history to hit 8 three pointers in a game) but it was fun to watch. Valentine was also very good in this game. Donovan has given him a chance and he's running with it in his minutes.
-
You can see why I wanted his brother in the draft.
-
Well it only took like 4 seasons, but Benintendi is finally traded.
-
This Hawks team is fun to watch. The kids can play.
-
Or maybe LaVine forces it to be him vs the world.... Thaddeus Young had to talk to him at the end of their last game because he was wide open in the paint and LaVine didn't look his way and forced up a shot. Let's not act like his decision making/basketball I.Q. is good. I will say having a PG who can have the ball in his hands down the stretch will definitely help this team.. which they desperately need. But I still don't think that will fully stop LaVine from the hero ball antics either.
-
And his shit turnovers. And his decision making. But I will give him credit he isn't the defensive sieve he once was. Btw, maybe Donovan needs to let White or someone else take the game winning shots. LaVine 9/10 times usually doesn't make them.
