  1. What I like about Eddie George is that 1 statistic that no one has ever done since Jim Brown. (as a running back) he has NEVER MISSED AN NFL GAME. You can count on him to be out there everyday and give you pretty decent numbers. I would like to see Brock Forsey as our running back next year. For some reason, A-train dosen't excite me much.. All the rookies on the bears excite me. (Wade, Forsey, Grossy, Briggs, Tillman, Gage, Haynes etc..) I think the bears should build the future around these studs. Get rid of Terrell and White (who I absolutely hated cause he couldn't catch a beachball thrown deep) and build around Booker, Gage(grossy's favorite receiver) and Wade as recievers.
  2. That's the thing I didn't like about Krause. He never keep his word on anything. I remember (and I know he regrets this) when he said he would never trade Elton Brand. He was supposedly had been the future of the bulls. He was going to build his team around him. He wound up dealing him anyway. The year after that, Brand is playing in the All-Star game. He is a very good player on the Clippers. If he would have kept brand, I think the bulls would have turned out better than they did. Now the fans have to wait a couple years until Chandler and Curry develop. Yes, he brought a Championship dynasty to the bulls. But he also brought stupidity and a bed rep. about himself as well. That's why the star players on that dynasty really didn't like him. And that's why FA's are not comming to the bulls because of him, and the bad reps. he has got from the players who played on his team.
  3. I am happy he's here too. I don't think that KW would trade his best prospect for any team. (i'm sure alot of teams would want this stud.) I hope he dosen't turn into darrin erstad. (too injury-prone) didn't scouts compare him with kotsay? I can see reed hitting with some pop and drawing alot of walks when he gets up here. I hope he makes a good impression this year in spring training.
  4. The best free agent signing went to the Rockies!! I also see that Marlon Anderson is a cardinal now. (Just saw it on sportscenter now.) The free agent list is getting very thin now.
  5. Could have been an ok 4th starter. He dosent excite me much though with that high era. But he eats up alot of innings. I would take anybody decent though, since we havent done much to bolster our starting pitching.
  6. That is kinda like the sox then. We already have a power offense. But lack of pitching. I hope this isn't the same plan for our team as well.
  7. Yea, him and hs .250 averages every year..
  8. About 1,300 of Paul Molitor's 3000 hits came as a DH. He alsoplayed about 3 or 4 more seasons because of the DH rule. Look where he is now.
  9. Metrodome is pretty much a hole with a rubber band for a center field. It's one of the worst stadiums I've ever seen. And Wrigley smells like cubbie urine..
  10. Norton will fill alot on needs as far as his versitility. He also makes good contact. Your acting like if he was a willie harris type player. And we need as many fans as possible for this cheap bastard of a owner. I think he could bring alot of fans back here.
  11. We'll only hate you if you are as cheap as reisdork. :fyou JR
  12. I wouldn't mind having Norton here again. He actually gave the fans alot to cheer about when he was here because of hawk n wimpy always saying that line. I wouldn't mind at all going to a sox game and holding up a sign.."Norton..your da greatest."
  13. I agree about "shoey." I still don't think we have a hole at 1st. I don't see what's the big deal about thomas playing there. He played there most of his career with the sox, and even though he has little range, can still get get a ball here and there and his batting average is off the charts when he plays 1st. He wants to be in the infield and I think it would be a smart move. Then you can put lee at dh and put reed in lf..
  14. Theyve got some pretty decent pitching in the minors.(Brazelton (sp?) and others. Your right about the not catching up to the yank$ or bosox but they can surprise people (could make wild card.) They can always make trades as well in the future so you can't jusdge if they don't have the talent now. I guarantee though that they will be some kinda team uner sweet lou in the next couple years.
  15. I dunno about that. But even if that happens, they still got a guy in the minors who's an absoulte stud I heard. They are still deeeeep.
  16. As hawk would say..."I love it when you analyze"
  17. Good signing by the D-rays. Young, had a breakout year for them. He should have made the all-star team. They can build their team around him and Baldelli (who is a stud!!) Look out for that team in the next 2-3 yrs.
  18. First off welcome abord. As a fellow newbie myself, I can relate. I agree, Danny wright has the same problems as cotts (even though cotts is a rookie) giving up the walks. That's why the sox want him in the bullpen. He has the stuff to be a very good bullpen pitcher. He just needs to trust his pitches and fine tune his stuff. If he continues to struggle, sending him to AAA to work on his mechanics won't hurt eigher.
  19. I hope u were kidding about the stros having the best 1-5 in baseball. That will probably belong to the A's. Come on Zito, Mulder, Hudson, Redman, Harden. That's deeeeeep

    Mo Vaughn

Whoops.. thank you for correcting that.
  21. I actually told someone the same thing you said. But gagne's case is different. He had to figure out another pitch (changeup) to be effective with his hard fastball and he changed his delivery. If wright could get his fastball back how he had it in the minors (i think it was about 95-97mph) and figures out his "out" pitch with new mechanics, he can be a very good closer.
  22. Wright was givin the opportunity this year for the 5th starters spot when cotts strugged. He didn't produce. The sox feel better if he was a long man.(even though I don't like that eigher. He gives up WAY too many hrs.)
  23. Willie brings more to the table?!?! The only thing he brings to the table is his speed (and of course his .220 averages ) Rowand at least gets on base, pretty decent hitter (when givin the "chance") good range (might not have the speed of harris but it's decent) and has a stronger arm between the two (even though it's only average.)
