  1. Bartolo Colon, C.C. Sabathia, etc. laughs at these posts.
  2. And has played here before. And is more of a contact guy.
  3. The Bears put up 30 points? In one half?!?!?!
  4. I would be absolutely thrilled, although with our production in RF for the past few years now, it would be a god send. But I'm on record in saying I'm more than fine with Eaton when he signed. I expect him to bounce back. Now get a left handed bat at DH and I'll really be excited.
  5. Last year. This is what I want to see out of the "cancer".
  6. Personally I think that knee injury killed him. Didn't ptatc say due to the other damage other than his ACL that he would have chronic problems in his knee after his career is over?
  7. I'm hoping one of Joc, Schwarber or Brantley is still on Rick's radar. Gotta get somebody who can play the OF. Sox have two injury prone guys in the outfield starting (Eloy, Eaton) and Leury Garcia is probably the most injury prone player out of them all. You can not have Adam Engel getting consistent ABs if (really that "if" should be "when" at this point) those guys go down.
  8. 1000% agree. If Paxton is back healthy, he is pretty damn good, if not elite. He won't give you the innings like Quintana, but he will definitely shut down teams much more.
  9. Shit I wouldn't mind them taking a shot at Schwarber at DH if they feel Vaughn needs time. Basically pencil him in for 30+ bombs and 50+ BBs (although the average will be low). Anderson - R Moncada - S Abreu - R Eloy - R Grandal - S Robert - R Schwarber - L Madrigal - R Eaton - L Giddy up.
  10. Eaton has more than enough of a track record to indicate 2019 was an outlier, co-vid riddled season for him. He isn't the 5+ WAR player he once was, but he is definitely still solid enough with the bat. I just question his durability. He is just too injury prone for my liking (not counting the clubhouse issues here). I have no doubts he'll bounce back with the bat though but for how many games....
  11. The only thing I don't like about this move is he is injury prone and especially the chemistry issues. I wonder if they feel with LaRussa in charge that it won't be much of a problem? I expect a big bounceback from Eaton though (not what he once was, but still a solid player offensively). That 2019 season was an outlier for him across the board. But it's hard to justify a toxic player who is injury prone. But I am not doubting the bat bouncing back.
  12. Sox have plenty of power in their lineup. I get Madrigal has zip, but let's not act like Eaton is Yolmer Sanchez in the power department.
  13. Another odd thing I noticed is Eaton has actually been a better base stealer since left us.
  14. I'm throwing away Eaton's 2019 co-vid short season. He has more than enough of a track record to show that was an outlier season for him. The defense isn't elite anymore after that knee injury, but he is still solid enough in the OF. And the bat is miles better than Mazara.
  15. Almost like he had to sleep on the deal then posted today considering his takes yesterday. But yea it was a very solid post.
  16. Damn NotCishek basically just told @Quin and @ChiliIrishHammock24 to suck it.
