Gonna say it now. Trevor Bauer is going to be a fantastic pitching coordinator after he retires if he decides to go that route. Plus he was always ahead of the curve on the analytics side. He's like a rich man's Danny Farquhar in that aspect.
Dunning HRs/9 in the minors - 0.6
BBs/9 in the minors - 2.4
Hendricks HRs/9 in the minors - 0.4
BBs/9 in the minors - 1.6
Obviously there's variables to consider (Dunning pitched 3 years in the minors, Hendricks 5. Dunning the much higher strikeout guy at 10.2 Ks/9 to Hendricks 7.6 Ks/9 etc.) but Dunning isn't exactly a walks or homerun allowing machine here. You may be right however but I can definitely see #3 type guy personally.
Just stick Moncada on the IL already. Stop with the "day to day" bullshit. He's likely missing most if not all of the Twins series anyways. Mendick continues to get ABs, Madrigal is back, Yolmer>Goins so the depth is fine, etc.
And considering he's already had TJS in the past, it would be a near death blow for him. But at least he's financially secure for life so good for him regardless.
Hahaha. I'll still "keep one eye open" on his tweets. It's not like he's batting .000. Same can be said with alot of guys. He is definitely taking his L now though but I won't completely dismiss him like some either.
Shut him down for the season if need be, especially in a year like this. Bummer is way too important in what we're trying to accomplish next season and beyond.
That is how you fight back in tbe depth chart/plans from a surgery. Kid has pitched his ass off and is fucking bulldog just like he was in the minors. And I love every minute of it.
That is actually a pretty classy move by Not Steve. Alot and I mean ALOT of "insiders" would backtrack and try to spin shit (cough... Joe Cowley... cough) but he is 100% owning up to it. I applaud the lad. And the twitter trolls threatening his life and such that I saw on replies can go to hell. I mean good lord..
Ricky rarely steals with his players. And even on that steal call, it was sooo fucking predictable that even Stone commented on it beforehand. Fortunately Holland wasn't paying attention (you can credit Madrigal's baseball I.Q. too).
