  1. Yes I know that. I just find it hilarious coming from you who usually sites batting average alot when evaluating players (as well as Ks and BBs)
  2. For someone who likes basic stats, you should be salivating at the fact that Mazara's lowest batting average in the big leagues is .253 (Grandal's highest in his career is .247 not counting his sample sized '12 season).
  3. Hawks best defensemen this season likely out a long time and this team is a dumpster fire. Sell high Stan...
  4. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/visuals/statcast-pitch-highlighter?playerId=608577&batHand=&pitchHand=&pitchType=&year=2019&zone=&hitCoords=81.21875,295.3455810546875,114.06473541259766,300 I wonder if the F.O. hopes that gap power translates to our park as Texas ballpark has bigger alleys.
  5. They actually thought they should've gotten more! hilarious.
  6. Texas just couldn't resist Steele Walker's Texas like name. Was hoping they'd like Gonzalez instead. Oh well. Hopefully he wakes up and mashes like Soler did.
  7. Other than a couple of areas, he favors Tim Anderson in alot of ways. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/tim-anderson-641313?stats=career-r-hitting-mlb
  8. It was a replay of earlier, but yes.
  9. He also said Abreu is a "phenomenal first baseman". Said it before, but I think he's going to play Abreu alot of 1B in the future than people think. And I also believe he is the guy who will keep the Sox (depending on moves too) from taking that next step as a playoff team because of his stubbornness and his stupidity.
  10. Kaplan and Garfien talking about Mazara now on STL.
  11. Some of us knew that already, unfortunately.
  12. Tell Mazara to go do whatever the hell Soler did last offseason so he can explode (with us) too.
  13. Yea I'd be fine with that (moreso Gonzalez than Rutherford) Otherwise... no.
  14. He really is brutal out there. You see his CF metrics? Yikes.
  15. If I'm taking on Blackmon's contract (and he's probably a DH at this point too) I'd much rather aim higher. Give me Marquez who would probably be electric getting out of Coors (Gray's numbers strangely are better at Coors than away). Plus, Marquez is controlled longer. Damn I just looked at Blackmon's contract again. Player options through 2022 and 2023. Ew, but I actually thought he had another year on that thing so that's good.
