First preseason game in the books. Bedard is as advertised. Kid is going to be incredible. His linemates will frustrate the hell out of Hawks fans though cuz they can not keep up with him especially hockey IQ wise. I thought Korchinski looked great. Probably the best defenseman on the ice. Kaiser was probably the second best defenseman. Both kids were damn good. Kurashev had a solid game himself. You could argue was the second best forward tonight after Bedard (Reichel could have a case too for second best). That line was buzzin.

They are very good. They play hard for Dan Campbell man. As I've stated previously by far the most talented team in this division and they're showing it.

So Tim Wakefield was diagnosed with brain cancer. Just awful. And how did that news come out? Curt Schilling,the biggest piece of s%*# ever, revealed it on a podcast. "Not sure if Tim wants me sharing this, but I will anyway" Fucking piece of s%*#. Jason Varitek's wife absolutely ripped him as she should.

Get rid of the distractions, band-aids, cancers, etc. on the team. Can't stress it enough.

Can Getz hire his own Jeff Greenberg "analytics guru" now? Cuz that was a tremendous hire by the Tigers.

Oof. That's a big loss for the analytics department. I know the FO adopted his "Madhouse" operating system to help kick start the change (which is what he used for the Cubs org as well I.E. "Ivy"). I hope they are continuing to adopt it or Greenberg is letting them keep whatever formulas.

Salvy better be the greatest mentor/coach anyone can ask for to Quero (and also be a brilliant game caller to pitchers). Otherwise, this makes 0 sense.

No captain this year for the Hawks. As it should be. In my opinion, pretty much all but confirmed Bedard will likely be the next captain as soon as next season. Hope the kid learns alot from Foligno in that regard as well as Murphy, Perry and Jones. This is his team and he is the franchise.
