Hate to see that for Kyler. The football gods however are trying to help the Bears. Broncos play the Cardinals next week. All of a sudden that game looks winnable for Denver.
Love TA but it would be nice to actually have a great defensive SS who is solid enough with the bat. Much more valuable than a guy with a great bat, but s%*# D (in my opinion).
If it is a salary dump, then Hahn better get some solid prospects back for him then trade said prospects for an MLB piece to the team (or a 3 way deal). But that might be too creative for him.
The absolute right move trading from a strength (unfortunately for a franchise acting like a small market) and I think Reynaldo would be fine as a closer personally. Better be to fill a hole(s) on the big league squad.
Still need another SP. Giolito (if still here) and especially Lynn can't be relied upon to last the whole season. Even Kopech and Clevenger himself are risks. Cease is probably the only one who will likely throw at least 190+ innings.
It's Iran.. the US has plenty of reasons to get up to play that country (then again, so does Iran).
I'll make a prediction that I highly doubt this game ends up tied. One of these teams will beat the other. No question in my mind.
Baker Mayfield I believe played with that same injury last season. Jimmy Garrapolo too. It isn't a death sentence. It's up to Fields how long he can tolerate pain but an injection shot and he'll be ready to go. Profootballdoc has a great piece and video of the Fields injury.
Selfishly, I want to see Fields reach 1,000 yards rushing (he's only 166 yards away) and still gain experience he sorely needs, but I can't fault them for shutting him down either.
