  1. Wow Two Years 4.9 mil with a third year option. Thats what Bruce Levine just reported.
  2. Was just at the game. One of the best F#in finishes I've ever seen!!!!
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1963686 ESPN.com news services Toronto Blue Jays: Right-hander reliever Billy Koch has returned to the Blue Jays, the Toronto Sun reported on Monday. Koch, a former No. 1 pick of the Jays, who pitched for Team USA in the 1996 Olympics, made his debut in 1999, saving 31 games for the Jays. He lost his job as the closer with the White Sox in 2004, going 1-1 with eight saves in 19 games and a 5.40 earned run average before moving on to the Florida Marlins where he was 1-2 with a 3.51 ERA. General manager J.P.Ricciardi expressed interest in Koch at the winter meetings but said at the time that right-hander likely wouldn't figure in the closer's role.
  4. I just got back from the game, why didn't Curry play today? He wasn't even dressed on the bench.
  5. Going to the game, catch you all when I get back!!!! GO BULLS!!!
  6. I really disagree with this. If you want to go by young prospects that could produce in the majors, look no further then the Whitesox. They have a ton of young pitching talent that always seems to be lights out in the minors, but when they get to the majors they are busts. Prospects are just that. Cleveland has 2 pitchers I consider decent. Sabathia and Bobby Howry. Cliff Lee had a 5.43 ERA. WOW. Jake Westbrook had his first good season in 6 years. I won't jump on his bandwagon just yet. Millwood also isn't the greatest. So their pitching staff still has a ton of holes.
  7. I really don't like that lineup. I see Rowand being somewhere in the Top 5 Lets say they somehow sign Iguchi. This is the lineup I would envision to start and when Thomas comes back 1 Pods 2 Uribe 3 Rowand 4 Konerko 5 Dye 6 Everett 7 Crede 8 Catcher 9 Iguchi 1 Pods 2 Rowand 3 Thomas 4 Konerko 5 Dye 6 Uribe 7 Crede 8 Catcher 9 Iguchi Regardless I love the idea of batting him 9th if we get him. Like the 1-dog in the early 90s.
  8. calm down people. This team is still young. They made a nice comeback, but just couldn't take the lead in the 4th. The team was still exciting and the game was still fun to watch. AND the Bulls were in it til the end. So for all those who say back to old times, I really really don't think so. You can't win every game. Good teams in fact do lose to bad teams. It happens. How many times had the Bulls beat the Lakers in Chicago during their championship run. And the Bulls were horrible. Even if this team doesn't make the playoffs, they are finally pushing in the right direction.
  9. Ben Gordon still shows he is a rookie
  10. hey, just to let you all know, its official, el duque is a Sox

  12. I was looking at tickets I wanted to by in advance, besides my weekend season tickets of course, and noticed the last 20 games are against central teams, specifically the last 17 against detroit, cleveland, and Minnesota. What are your thoughts on this?
  13. I guess so, that will look pretty weird.

  15. Does anyone know his contract situation? He was arbitration eligible. Did the Sox offer him a multiple year deal?
  16. ESPN said the the Sox involvement in the trade wasn't going to happen now. Which is right?
  17. Mac Jurko and Harry are the guys to listen to. You all get them outside Chicago right?
  18. Okay you people shouldn't listen to them in the first place. When I was driving to work I heard a short from him at 8:30 saying that the Sox were a bunch of singles hitters oh and Paul Konerko. I of course got angry, but then again, look who is talking. One logical person would say Rowand isn't a singles person, 24 HR 38 Doubles, or Crede, or Uribe, or Dye, or THOMAS.... This thread can only go nowhere.
  19. I was at the game, the refs didn't just blow that call. They BLEW...
  20. Yes, but just look at how many games the last few years the offense has either scored 10 or more runs, or only 1 on a homer. The offense has been extremely inconsistent the last few years. The offense, though not to the extent of SP, is a problem for the Sox.
