  1. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 10:11 AM) I loved it too. My wife was rolling her eyes at me when I was cheering on McCall everytime he turned badass. The first scene where , I was like "YEAH!!!" My wife was like "Eugh!"
  2. The Equalizer was crazy good fun. Not much of a detailed plot, but it worked. Denzel was amazing as McCall. 4 out of 5 stars
  3. QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Apr 7, 2015 -> 11:20 PM) It's crazy that "The Dukes of Hazzard" debuted in 1979. I remember being super excited to watch it. I remember going to my best friend's house to watch it. I remember being in love with Catherine Bach. I was seven. Sometimes I think about just how much I remember from my childhood, and I think part of the reason is that having fewer options for entertainment created a more communal feel to things like TV, movies, and music because we were all consuming the same stuff. Anyway, RIP Rosco. Take a seat at the bar of the big Boar's Nest in the sky. The Boss and Uncle Jesse are already at their table.
  4. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 03:51 PM) LOL I actually searched La Mesa, Ca because I thought that is where you live and found a lot of affordable homes. But now I remember you live in a different ___ Mesa. Moo Mesa? http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/imag...__Mesa_4412.jpg
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 02:27 PM) Where? South Central and Watts.
  6. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 01:47 PM) That is where I have been trying to convince my wife for us to move to because I love it there but she always brings up the housing costs. There has to be some place to live there that is affordable. You'd probably have to get an apartment and save every nickel.
  7. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 12:15 PM) You must have a bad feeling about this team. That shipp has ssailed, my friend...
  8. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 12:09 PM) Jerk. Hey, with the way my karma is, the opposite of this is bound to happen.
  9. Samardzija only wins 10 games and his ERA is in the mid 4s. Sale hurts his arm and has to have surgery. They trade Melky and Alexei by the deadline in a rebuild attempt. Beckham stays the entire season and gets more PT than Micah Johnson. I'm being negative because that's the boldest of bold.
  10. Loved Big Hero Six. Best movie that I've seen this year. Easily 4 out of 5 stars.
  11. Cynthia Lennon - John Lennon's first wife, her son is Julian Lennon.
  12. Looks like Bernstein is taking a vacation. Not sure if it was already planned or suggested by CBS, but it would be a good cover for a possible suspension.
  13. Moved to the Filibuster because people can't stay away from pushing each other's buttons.
  14. They have no size inside and Brey always over-works the starters by giving them too many minutes during the regular season. Kentucky pretty much has two teams on their roster. Their bench could start for many top division 1 teams. ND is there despite Brey's coaching style. He's the Tom Thibodeau of college basketball.
  15. I wonder if he had the surgery to strengthen the arm because of the small tendon. Not necessarily because he had to have it due to injury and Houston was right.
  16. Maybe they need to allow air marshals to have a deadbolt release on the cockpit door for emergencies.
  17. Watched the third Hobbit movie last night. It was a half of a film with a bunch of crap thrown in to increase the length. 2 Stars: Would not recommend.
  18. It's your baby, but I'd say you might as well look for non-Soxtalkers so you get your draft done this weekend.
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 23, 2015 -> 01:47 PM) 75 last Monday, snowing this Monday #ChicagoWeather Northern weather. It snowed 2 inches yesterday, it's 60 with T-Storms on Wednesday, then it will go down to 15 on Saturday.
  20. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 10:00 AM) Funny this came up - Scot Gregor of the Daily Herald did a piece for Baseball America that just went up today, talking about Anderson's comeback attempt. It's behind a paywall, but here is the link. He's done a few for the Daily Herald as well. http://www.dailyherald.com/article/2015011...orts/150119259/ http://www.dailyherald.com/article/2015022...orts/150229622/
  21. I wonder if Rutgers would look at Hurley, since he's from Jersey.
  22. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 16, 2015 -> 09:54 AM) Damn, blocked at work. Might try to put one in at home tonight. You can enter via the Yahoo Fantasy Sports app.
  23. Of course, Micah has options and Beckham and Bonifacio do not.
