  1. Time to package Danks and Viciedo for someone else's problem that fits the roster better. That's about the only way we'll be adding more pieces.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 16, 2015 -> 11:06 AM) You link a bank account to your paypal account. When the money hits your paypal, you transfer it to your bank account. It takes a couple of days to clear. It is WAY quicker than a check. They sent me a Paypal debit card. I can use that card and get the money immediately.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 05:26 PM) The people calling in to The Score are making me sad for humanity I used to think that the screeners did it on purpose to piss off Bernstein. Now, I'm not so sure.
  4. QUOTE (lord chas @ Jan 15, 2015 -> 07:49 AM) Hard to forget those two homers off of King Felix I think that he killed Randy Johnson too, iirc.
  5. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 05:30 PM) The best thing Brian Anderson did as a Sox was be near a microphone for Pods' walkoff. He dove caught the ball that ended the blackout game too.
  6. Tyler Flowers was tied for #12 in MLB in WAR by catcher last season (2.3)
  7. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 02:18 PM) This is false. My ex gfs sister was a midwife. That's what the doctor told my wife.
  8. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 13, 2015 -> 05:20 PM) Exactly. The only way you can assure you won't have a child is an IUD. Those things are damn near absolute. She can't get an IUD unless she's had a baby already.
  9. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 13, 2015 -> 04:26 PM) Pull out game strong. Doesn't always work. The male member releases pre-ejaculate that can contain sperm, so you've got a chance of pregnancy even before there's even an orgasm/release. So, basically, you're just rolling dice without a condom.
  10. QUOTE (OsweGo-Go Sox @ Jan 11, 2015 -> 08:04 PM) Without, thanks.
  11. QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 08:20 AM) nice butt, nice body, nice to look at and she can act. The pants that she wore in Night at the Museum 2 were magical.
  12. Now You See Me - 3 out of 5. Cool premise, decent rental, but it felt low budget. The "surprise" came out of nowhere and felt like sloppy screenwriting. Also, the ending was mediocre and vague.
  13. John Jaso The team needs another lefty batting hitter and Jaso has a good OBP for a catcher.
  14. They need a coach with a moustache. No Chicago sports team in the modern era has won a title without a moustache-wearing head coach/manager.
  15. I haven't had the chance to watch many games, but I see the box scores. Where has Noah gone so far this season? His numbers are really down.
  16. Jeff Samardzija has turned down a 5 year $75-80 million contract with the Cubs - and got traded to Oakland. They traded him for minimal minor league replacement to the Sox (perhaps due to not being able to extend him). What size of contract offer do you think that he would receive from the Sox? Will his agent demand an extension early to avoid arbitration, or will he accept arbitration and let the contract extension linger through the season? Will he choose free agency and not extend at all? What are your guesses, Soxtalk?
  17. Goal #1 should be to hire a quality coach and acquire players that thrive in that coach's system. Let the coach and players worry about beating Green Bay.
  18. 1. Cardinals - Always compete for the playoffs, new stadium, crazy baseball fan base. 2. Giants - Winning franchise, awesome part of the country, amazing park. 3. Yankees - Crazy tradition, huge fan base, lotsa cash for you if you succeed. 1. Cubs - Ancient stadium, cold Aprils and Octobers, no post season. 2. A's - Cheap ownership, fickle fans, bad stadium. 3. Blue Jays - Ugly stadium, Tough to make post season, have to live outside of the U.S.A.
  19. QUOTE (OsweGo-Go Sox @ Jan 8, 2015 -> 09:41 AM) Can my display name be changed to "3GamesToLove?" With or without the question mark?
  20. Been fighting a cold/sinus thing since before Christmas. Now, I can't hear that well out of one ear. Great.
  21. Catching up on my movies. Role Models - 2.5 stars out of 5. Not spectacular, but a good movie for the basic plot that it had. Saving Mr. Banks - 4.5 out of 5 stars. Very good movie, highly recommended. Not that in-depth, but a real tear-jerker. Captain America - The First Avenger - 3.5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed the retro feel; but, since I've seen other Marvel movies made after this one and read the comics, the plot and story was not that unknown. Maleficent - 4 out 5 stars. Really great re-telling of the Sleeping Beauty story. Hard to accept Ellie Fanning as Aurora and the prince was goofy, but I really enjoyed the fresh ideas in the film.
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 8, 2015 -> 12:51 PM) I cant think of a director (or directors) that hit the scene with such a good movie like the Matrix only to follow it with as many duds as the Wachowskis have. And somehow studios keep writing huge checks to them M. Night Shyamalan?
  23. Jameis may be a decent QB, but his off the field antics are too much of a red flag for many teams.
