QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 12, 2014 -> 10:56 PM) TMZ caught the NBC employee who was quarantined out shopping. So you could see how selfish stupid people could help spread this rather quickly. I wonder why it was a "voluntary quarantine." You'd think that they'd take it more seriously at this point.

Some year I'd love to attend Soxfest. If only it wasn't an icy cold, long drive in the dead of winter.

Part of me wants MLB teams that haven't won in 30+ years to get success because they've had such a drought. I even followed the Cubs a little in the '80s and 2003 when they were in the playoffs. I don't really like their fans, but the franchise deserves to rebound. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 12:13 PM) To be frank, I really don't like that roster. 3-3 seems right, I wouldn't even be surprised if you were worse. The keeper talent in our league left me with limited options. I still think that the roster will make the playoffs. -

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 11:55 AM) Your RBs aren't that good. That's why. You have a bunch of guys who can get you 10-20 points a week when things go their way, but you don't have a guy who will definitely get you 10-20 points a week (Jamaal Charles, Demarco Murray, Matt Forte, etc.). It was a keeper league. I chose Dez Bryant over Marshawn Lynch. All of the other RBs were already gone by that time. -

With as bad as McClellin and Briggs can be, I wonder if the backups were really that much worse. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 01:05 PM) Who did you start over Ahmad? He's a legit rb2 at this point. Eddie Lacy, Le'Veon Bell, and Marshawn Lynch -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 9, 2014 -> 02:36 PM) Does anyone actually wear a watch to tell time now a days? I stopped when I got a cell phone because I found that over the years, my sweat/skin ate through and rusted the metal on most base metal watches. Now, they just feel uncomfortable to wear - even with a stainless steel one.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 12:11 PM) Crazy Amanda Bynes is back on Twitter. Check out the video of her shoplifting and practically giving security guard a lap dance. Can't stop watching. There needs to be a thing called Bynes Vines.

Teams could use 60 man rosters and expanded salary caps. Injuries are so prevalant that they need bigger rosters. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 8, 2014 -> 01:38 PM) Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo 5m5 minutes ago Though no official decision yet, #Rangers expected to decline $13.5M option on Alex Rios for next season. Possible LF option for the Sox? I wonder if he'd be worth a 2 year 8 mil a year offer. -

They need to find a up-and-coming coach that was a former player. Someone that knows the success of the past and can promote it to recruits. Is there such a person out there? Maybe an ex-coach or player under a former head coach. -

I compare Illinois football to DePaul basketball. They can't even attract good in-state and Chicagoland kids anymore and are living in the past. They need to build from within and stop looking for a miracle hire. Otherwise, any coach successful at Illinois is going to leave within a few years for a better job. -

Illinois is probably the worst college football job in the Big 10. Too many unreasonable expectations from the alumni. Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn St, Nebraska, and Ohio St. have winning history. Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland and Indiana are just happy to be successful sometimes. Iowa , Michigan St. and Illinois are the only schools that have tasted success and think they can get it every year. Iowa and Michigan St. are right and are successful sometimes, Illinois is not. -
Morse would be a reclaim special. He had an off year this year. He can play some 1B and DH. Unfortunately, his OF days are behind him.

Unless there's a late day scoring change, I was 3-0 last weekend. Barely squeaking by in two of the leagues. I had benched guys that could have made the matchups less competitive but I second-guessed myself. -
