  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 04:54 PM) Fine Texas, why don't you just sign all the former White Sox lefties They can take Danks back for some of their really good young players.
  2. Would the Sox consider Frank Thomas as the hitting coach? He has the Walt Hriniak history and seems to have a lot of experience to share.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) I had Rodger and basically no RB, I would be getting Charles straight up. My QB would then be Dalton by default. Any good waivers QBs out there?
  4. QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 01:21 PM) He has absolute no intention of not playing again in 2014.” Double negatives hurt my brain.
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 04:02 PM) Even the Superman fans want to forget Brandon Routh and Dean Cain.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 12:54 PM) I CHOOSE TO BELIEVE MARTYSAURUS REX I'M DRINKING MARTYSAURUS REX'S KOOL-AID!
  7. Find a way for the minor league hitting instructors and the Sox hitting coach to be on the same page. There always seems to be an issue when guys come up that were hitting well, then they just lose it when they reach the majors. It's like they get their approach messed with, then they start second-guessing themselves and slump.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 12:37 PM) He's not, he's good to go. I read after last Thursday's game that he hurt his hamstring and was doubtful for this week. I guess he's healing quicker than expected.
  9. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Oct 11, 2013 -> 07:47 PM) Has there ever been a player in Chicago sports that has been given more excuses than Beckham? It's just bizarre. Sox fans are usually the opposite when it comes to busted prospects. He's a hall of famer. Scratch that, he's Chase Utley. Scratch that, he's Brandon Phillips. Scratch that, he can't hit for s***, but plays good D. Scratch that, his D's overrated, but he's hitting for average. Scratch that, he doesn't do anything that well, but he's hurt. Well, he does turn a good double play. I know it seems like I have a vendetta against him, but I really don't. I would love for him to succeed. It's not happening though. Enough with the excuses. With Beckham, all I hoped for was about .270 with 15HR 65RBI and good D. His career average over 162 games is .249 14HR 61RBI and he improved in OPS and BA in 2013 from his previous two seasons. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/beckhgo01.shtml I really think that his power should return to past levels once his comfort level at the plate increases.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) Keenan Allen against Jacksonville, Greg Jennings against the Giants, or Terrance Williams against the Eagles? That's a crapshoot. Any of those three can get you points. I'd pick Allen since Rivers focuses on hot receivers. Jennings may not get as many looks with Freeman starting his first game, and Williams may get chances, but he's not the primary guy in Dallas.
  11. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 12:01 PM) I need help in my FLEX in one league and WR2 in another. Joe Randle Brandon Jacobs Chris Johnson and in the other league... Larry Fitz or Harry Douglas 1. Jacobs is out, Randle is unlikely to get big numbers. Johnson will get those most PT of the three. 2. Even injured, I'd prefer Fitz over Douglas.
  12. Character actor, Ed Lauter, 75. You'd know his face if you saw him. Kind of a poor man's Craig T. Nelson. (Not that Craig T. Nelson is a rich man)
  13. He's improved quite a bit from 2012 and he's performing well for his age at his job.
  14. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 03:11 PM) So did Josh Stewart and Heath Phillips I can't really say much about Phillips, but Ozzie and a line drive baseball did in Stewart.
  15. Bierman seems like a Mark Buehrle type.
  16. Wasn't he the guy who got the "yips" and couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher?
  17. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 11:49 AM) Don't kill me? QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 11:56 AM) Let's go Cubs STD
  18. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 15, 2013 -> 02:43 PM) I really wish you would stop posting entire articles. You single-handedly kill my interest in reading multiple threads doing that. Just post the link like everyone else. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 15, 2013 -> 05:08 PM) Make sure to get upset with knightni too, lol. He posted a full article about Abreu, so fine, no more articles ever again if it will make you happier. I post the entire article because not everyone can travel all over the internet at their places of employment. This way it can be read in one place. Here.
  19. QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Oct 16, 2013 -> 06:38 AM) Patriot Games was a thoroughly appalling film. That's because it was anti-Irish. lol
  20. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Oct 15, 2013 -> 04:38 PM) http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/10/free...riel-abreu.html
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 14, 2013 -> 09:44 PM) Greg and I go picking daisies every Sunday morning. Lots of third person sexy talk, no doubt.
  22. QUOTE (zenryan @ Oct 14, 2013 -> 07:10 PM) Three simple words to get you out of this situation. How about two. "Allahu Akbar"
