Plain and simple... Power Pitchers throw more pitches per inning normally than finesse ones. If they get a lot of Ks, they threw a lot of fastballs or not as hittable pitches for foul balls or called/swinging strikes. Finesse pitchers get lower pitch counts because of easier to hit pitches. (ie. flyballs/groundouts)
