  1. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 10:58 PM) Such a class act and pungent statement directly to Dunn. Hope it hits home if he's reading. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 11:16 PM) Poignant? QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 16, 2012 -> 11:54 AM) It's quite pungent. It's a formidable scent... It stings the nostrils. In a good way. Brian, I'm gonna be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 16, 2012 -> 10:08 AM) Those are generated based on your web and search history, gentlemen. I never see anything but ING Direct or Jimmy Johns, since I visit those sites all the time. So, I guess stop searching for dudes on the internet and you'll stop seeing those banners. I don't know... it has shown me some crazy stuff and my browser deletes all history upon browser close - so it should have nothing to read.
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 11:51 AM) Doesn't have the funky intro vid, but still, thanks! How 'bout now?

  5. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 16, 2012 -> 03:05 AM) Not a bad idea. Lived in Evansville, went to HS in Indiana, and lives in the Bloomington area. But he might be too big of a player to want to spend time giving interviews to college kids. I'll relay the information though. He's just about retired. Maybe he'd consider it as a part of his post-career experience. Try his charity: http://www.enisfurley.com/
  6. QUOTE (Cali @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 06:17 PM) Makes sense. By my count if Oakland (or San Jose as it may be...) doesn't have a new stadium by 2016, there's no new AL stadiums to host a game (except Yankee Stadium but that won't work). However, in the NL, there's FIVE new stadiums that haven't hosted yet: Philly, San Diego, Miami (I'd guess they get the '15 game) Washington, and Cincinnati. Baltimore (23 years in '16), Texas (21 years in '16) and Toronto (25 years in '16) held the game the longest ago in the AL. Rogers Centre is boring as s***. They'd need a new stadium before they get another game I'd guess. Same goes with Tampa Bay. There's no chance Tropicana Field gets an All-Star Game ever. (Why do I care so much about this? I don't know haha) It's been since 1990 for Wrigley too, iirc.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) The eventual acquisition of Roy Williams reminds me too much of Muhsin Muhammed but with a bad attitude. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 02:57 PM) They're both overpaid, past their prime, possession receivers. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) Williams is 29? That's past his prime? QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 03:03 PM) I don't know if Williams is past his prime or not. He went to a place where he wasn't the #1 option and at times was more the #3 option. With that he got lackadasical and his play and statistics suffered. In Chicago, it will be a completely different scenario. He will be the #1 wide-out, although Knox/Hester/Bennett will still get a lot of playing time, but Williams is the only one with his size/stature. Williams isn't old or out of his prime. I really think the big reason his play/stats suffered had to do with him being soft mentally and not getting the love in big D. I don't think that will be the case in Chicago cause there is just no way the Bears offense isn't heavily built around him. Plus, he should be able to adjust relatively quickly and learn the system soon, which will be great. I really like this move, but I've always liked Roy. And I have always felt the Bears needed a guy with this type of talent a top our wide receiving corps. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 04:11 PM) Wiliams will probably have about 50-60 catches. 800 yards and about 5-7 TD. Anything more than that and I would be shocked. Just re-stating my disdain for Williams.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 01:52 PM) 4th man, currently a prisoner in the NY State prison system, has come forwards with accusations of abuse by this coach, and done so publicly. Now he admits that he lied to the police.
  9. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 04:34 PM) I'll take Rick Adelman thank you very much So Felix... Will I regret dropping Derrick Williams and Michael Beasley from my fantasy team? Adelman doesn't seem to like Williams very much this year.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 01:32 PM) Sherlock Holmes was a bit nebulous in its villain this time, Mark Strong was such a huge and malevolent presence in the last one, and not nearly as much Rachel McAdams or "romance" as the first picture in the series. The other "Shirley" was the British actor from V for Vendetta, right? He seemed very familiar, for some reason. Mycroft Holmes was played by Stephen Fry. Yes he was in V for Vendetta. He's a great interview and a great actor.
  11. Where's Scott Rolen these days? He's from Indiana.

  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:19 AM) I want to see it again in the theater, and will. Hell, the intro with the remix of the "Immigrant Song" is worth the $10 alone. $10 please.
  14. That's a bunch of celebrities in that Beastie Boys video.
  15. Sorry for the late post.
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 04:18 PM) The Mets confound me. Fernando Martinez has arthritic knees from what I've heard.
  17. Any chance that Tyler Kuhn will get a shot at the 2012 utility infield job? He hits for decent average but no power at all.
  18. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 10, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) Heck, who was the last Big East player who actually matched the hype? Ray Allen & Allen Iverson?? Dwyane Wade?
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 9, 2012 -> 11:55 PM) Seriously, with all the SoxTalk "insiders" with their wisecracks, innuendoes and jokes, I share Milkman's concern that only about 50-75% of the site (and, in his case, my posts) is actually intellectually accessible. What joke? You're the one with obscure references all the time that make people go "huh?"
  20. Except for the mediocre Alec Baldwin film, that's an old radio programme reference from the '30s and '40s.
