  1. Looking to 2021, Vaughn, Eloy and Abreu should rotate LF, 1B and DH. Get Vaughn some LF time in the offseason and Spring and see if he's not a circus show at it like Eloy. I think at this point of this season, however, they should just stay the course. Chemistry-wise, it's working.
  2. I always thought that Nick meant steal.
  3. There is no charge. You assume control immediately.
  4. Giles is a clubhouse disturbance/cancer. Doolittle is not a guarantee any longer Hand is awful. Kela hasn't had a save since 2018 and has been rarely used this year. Workman has a 5 ERA Yates has an ERA of near 13.
  5. I don't know about Richard, but Gonzales and Flores are both former starters that could fill this spot. Flores had some yips last night as it was his first appearance, and Gonzales will be back soon with a good two weeks of rest under his belt.
  6. ROBERT! ABREU! ANDERSON! EVEN EE! NOT YOU BULLPEN Half game back.
  7. Does Sheets have much trade value? Could they package him and a pitching prospect and find a young RF prospect? - Or would that be a draft/free agent concern for 2021?
  8. Is there really a guaranteed reliable closer out there that would be available? Teams are constantly changing closers during the season - it's just the "hot" hand - and the Sox definitely have live arms.
  9. Do you think that Colome will be re-signed, or will they try Heuer, Burdi, or Foster to see if any of them can do the job?
  10. One opening left. The pitching team. Scherzer Lamet Wheeler Also some good young guys. Vlad Jr. Olson Bichette Right now, it's a playoff quality team.
  11. Am I the only one who doesn't see much from Collins? He's not a great catcher and he can't really hit. I'd rather give Zavala or a free agent the shot as the back up catcher.
  12. John Thompson, Former Georgetown Basketball coach
  13. I'm guessing that they don't make any changes. Every trading partner wanted Vaughn or Kopech and the Sox don't want to give them up.
  14. Dumping Mazara or Encarnacion for a bullpen arm and cash?
  15. He's had issues with too many walks in the past - maybe the D'Backs coaches were tweaking him and it's not worked. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/robbie-rays-redesigned-arm-action-hasnt-worked-out-so-far-in-his-final-season-before-free-agency/
  16. I'm not sold on having to blow the farm up on a top starter in 2020. Cease and Dunning look like they could hold down the #3 and #4 without much difficulty - if they had to,
  17. I'd be fine with trading less if it could happen; I believe that Calhoun isn't a FA until after 2021 though. Ray struck out 235 in 174 IP last year - This is his worst season in his entire career - and it's only 7 starts. He's had three 200 K seasons and he's only 28.
  18. I'm not sure that Arizona would accept Dalquist or someone lesser.
  19. Ray can start. These other guys can't. He's only 28, and has past success. I'm not against Rodon, but he's not healthy. I'd be fine with Lopez, but he's been struggling this year and can't get more than 3 innings per start. Fry has shown that he's the last option in this bullpen and Cishek is one of the oldest and least effective guys on the roster. Even if he sucks, Ray is a lefty who has an option to start. At worst, he's Gio Gonzalez with less miles on the tires. Calhoun is at least a better option power-wise than Mazara, and he can play RF - unlike Marte.
  20. I feel like Robbie Ray would be the most likely pitcher given the fact that he'd keep the MLB team fairly intact and he'd be an easy #4 guy now that Cease looks to be okay in the #3 slot. Robbie Ray and maybe Kole Calhoun for Stiever, Fry, Collins, and Luis Gonzalez?
