  1. Everyone keeps talking up Terell Edmunds. I'm not sure he works because he's a tweener and a ILB. I really think that they need OL help and corner DE help.
  2. My local FM radio affiliate has Golic and Wingo, Dan Patrick, and Rich Eisen back to back to back.
  3. We have a discount theater. Tickets were $5.00 each and a large popcorn with two large drinks is $6.00.
  4. Got Thursday night preview tickets for Avengers Infinity War. #excited!
  5. I would like Nelson round one, then either an edge rusher or wide receiver in round two.
  6. QUOTE (WBWSF @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 09:53 AM) Forbes Magazine said that the White Sox will have $260 in yearly revenue in 2018. The Sun Times said the White Sox team payroll (which is 28th in MLB) for 2018 will be $60 million dollars. JR and his investors are laughing all the way to the bank with this dismal team. Good for them. I wish that my investments were as successful. Imagine the profits if fans actually showed up on a regular basis.
  7. I've never been a fan of Reinsdorf overall, but at least he cares enough about the teams to try to win. Some ownership groups are just in it for the cash.
  8. They say that his neck isn't a concern. https://247sports.com/nfl/pittsburgh-steele...ealth-117427961
  9. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 04:08 PM) Supposedly LVE's neck is f***ed. Rumors swirled yesterday that he's off of most teams' boards. I think Edmunds can play EDGE although he never has. I guess the assumption is his athleticism and Fangio's coaching will eventually get him to be successful there. IMO, he's best inside and roaming all over, similar to Anthony Barr. Edmunds is so huge though (6'5" 250), he seems like a natural to be OLB/Edge in a 3-4.
  10. Would Edmunds be able to play edge in the 3-4 scheme? I'd love to have him and Vander esch both.

  12. QUOTE (Quin @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 12:11 AM) This is the greatest thread in SoxTalk history. Not even close
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 10:19 AM) I mean he got that great new modern facility built in San Francisco. How many years did he drag a 5 time SB champ on in an ancient, substandard, shared Candlestick Park?
  14. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Apr 5, 2018 -> 03:07 PM) 25 Greatest pitchers of all time : https://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/greatest-...html/?a=viewall "All-time" doesn't seem to remember anything much pre-1960.
  15. Patriots now have enough draft picks to trade for Odell Beckham.
  16. YouTube shooter has Arabic heritage. She was upset that YouTube demonetized her animal rights videos. Can't wait for the right wing thoughts on this...
  17. Almost done with season 3 of The Magicians. Solid writing and a good story. Narnia meets Harry Potter meets adult humor and language.
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 2, 2018 -> 11:36 AM) Unless teams want to start the season with a two week road trip, there really isn't much they can do about weather problems...and that's not going to happen. The more important thing to do is schedule teams in the division as much as possible early in the season so there are more opportunities to make up the games. Now, there's always a minimum of three non-division series going on, so those should be in warm places or domes. The Twins open Thursday with the Mariners...that's not an ideal opponent for scheduling purposes. But again, there's not a lot they can do. March 29/April 5th? They both can have decent weather or winter weather. A nine or ten game road trip is pretty standard at different times of year. If it starts the year, it doesn't change that they can have a nine or ten game homestand during the middle of the year to make up for it.
  19. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 2, 2018 -> 10:09 AM) The entire evangelical base was super angry about JCS. Its been around for 40 years and was pretty universally hated by fundamental christians and was being bashed by the same people on the internet last night. Because it makes Judas a sympathetic figure and shows Jesus romantically with a prostitute.
  20. Some time back, I had an idea that if MLB wanted to start the season earlier and reduce weather postponements, they just needed to start the season where the first week or so had all teams playing in warm weather cities and domed stadium cities. It's nice to see them take my advice - for the most part - except Cincinnati, Kansas City, New York and Detroit. They could have had the Giants, Astros, Brewers, and Cardinals have home games, but that's their fault.
  21. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 12:25 PM) As a heads up, I am tentatively planning for the new phase of the upgrade to occur on the next day off for the Sox. Next Friday?
  22. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 01:17 PM) It's a 2017 movie, but I re-watched The Last Jedi (a week ago in 2018). I only saw it in theaters once, and my initial reaction was meh- didn't love it, didn't hate it. Big fan of the movie after that second (and third) time seeing it! Not sure what specifically did it- maybe it was too much to process with just one viewing? It makes The Force Awakens seem even more mediocre than it did after that initial happiness of having a new Star Wars trilogy wore off. Still not a fan of the awful space float scene, though. My main issue was that it squashed all speculation and intrigue that was brought up after watching episode 7. Anything interesting or discussion-worthy was wiped away. It was like, "New director - New plot!"
  23. Tilson stays healthy enough to platoon in CF and steal 15 bases this season.
  24. If Loyola and Kansas play with Kansas winning, I'll get a TV and cash.
  25. Chubb Nelson Edmunds Smith Ward Who's the #8 guy?
