Take with grain of salt. But it was a Sox Machine person, Sox Machine has usually been straight about stuff. I mean, it's not like they're hot dogs or Italian Beef or anything. -
Sox may have trade interest in Rays 2B/OF Brandon Lowe

I saw a half hour ago that TB is now playing hardball by threatening to remove Glasnow and Lowe from the trade block. -
Seen on Twitter. https://twitter.com/soxmachine_josh/status/1591987289529671680?t=PdGb-17Wg1v9CZ_d2-LIZg&s=19 Take with a grain of salt. Lowe had a nice 2021, but regressed in 2022. Lefty power bat who can play 2b or LF and is 28. Concern is he has a low batting average tendency; which, for some reason, has been made worse in the past when players join the Sox.

Rain held back so I took the kids out last night. Four houses gave out full-sized candy bars. Between the trunk or treats and last night, they each have almost 8 pounds of candy.
-
I have a kindergartner who sleeps at 7:30 at night and I'd prefer he not be out walking in the dark with older kids and cars. We'll be out for about a half hour tonight, but once it gets dark, we're heading home.
-
The kids and I hit up about 7 trunk or treats over the last week or so. We already have so much candy that they don't have to slog in the rain tonight if they don't want to.

I really liked the WWBN special. It was '70s camp. I wonder if they will have a Midnight Sons series.

I mean, is he better than Eloy as a DH? Probably not. Will he have better stats at 1B over the next three years than Vaughn? Possibly, but not likely. Cespedes/Pollock is LF, Colas is RF. Sheets is backup 1B/DH. They need a lefty SP, a starting catcher, and a solid 2B. Abreu is unfortunately a victim of numbers and age. He's always been great for us, but there's just nowhere for him on this roster in 2023.

I really despise the haters regarding She-Hulk. SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE SILLY AND RIDICULOUS. I'm glad that in episode 8 she is finally realizing what Bruce told her about being a Super Hero in Episode 1 and being more aware of the idiots who try to use her and bring her down.

Young Venezuelan Shortstop, Rodriguez signed for 400k at 17 and played this year in the Dominican Summer League. He was unspectacular offensively - .237 average, only one HR and 31 Ks in 40 games; but, he does have speed and the Sox like his potential.
-
Solid college Senior signing out of Georgia in the 3rd round of the 2022 Draft. Showed well in limited innings in AZ-Rookie and Kanny. Can be a fast riser through A ball next year if he keeps up his growth and development.
-
Mena is a young, 19 year-old Dominican pitcher, who was a big signing by Marco Paddy in the 2019 international period. He performed very well in low A Kannapolis in 2022, but didn't show as much control or success in WS or Birmingham. Look for him to continue success in 2023 in Winston Salem.
-
Now 22 years-old, Thompson is still working his way through the minors after being a highly-touted 2nd round pick in 2019. He missed having the 2020 season for his development, due to the pandemic. In 2022, he split between high A and AA, with middling results. He has the talent to be a future starter, but right now, he gives up too many hits per innings pitched. He does show good control and has a very good K to IP ratio, however. He'll probably repeat high A for a good portion of 2023.
-
The 22 year-old outfielder from the Dominican Republic split time between Winston-Salem and Birmingham in 2022. Was an RBI machine in high A ball with 72 in only 106 games. Showed good power - even in limited at-bats in AA. Shows real power potential and could be fast-tracked if he hits well in a full season of double A in 2023.
-
The 21 year-old middle infielder from the Dominican Republic, who signed in 2018 and has been a breakout player in Birmingham this season. .280 11 HR 68 RBI 40 SB in only 104 games. Good plate discipline, but could stand to walk a little more. Look for him to show himself in Charlotte in 2023 at the age of 22, with a MLB watch by the end of the season.
-
Repeated W-S and was even worse. 11.40 ERA in 17 appearances with a WHIP of over 2. I think that's he's done in the organization.
-
Excellent year in Winston-Salem. .275 with 19 HR and 74 RBI in only 99 games. Got a promotion to Birmingham at the end of the season, and while his average dropped, he still drove in 12 in 21 games. If he can establish himself in AA at only 21, he could be a real dark horse MLB promotion by 2024.

Word out of Sox camp is that Crochet is progressing well from the surgery and as of now, looks to be ready to join pitchers and catchers in the Spring. He's been throwing from 45 feet and looks healthy, My previous negativity about him never being a starter seems to be premature; but, he will have to be stretched out before the Sox can even consider him in the rotation.
-
Really young guy (19) who hit for power in Kanny, but was definitely not ready for the Birmingham call up. Could stand to raise his average and work on contact in Winston-Salem next season. Who knows. He could make the Sox some day.
