  1. Sanchez just finished his year 25 season in AAA. He has shown little to no power, but a decent average. Has a low on-base percentage and minimal slugging. Unless the Sox have a multitude of utility injuries or just flat out rebuild, I don't see him sticking in the majors. He just doesn't have what it takes offensively to stay long on a 26-man roster. Lenyn Sosa and Romy Gonzalez probably have better shots.
  2. Part of the "Project Birmingham" promotion this year; but, he has not really shown the same selectiveness in AA that he showed at Winston-Salem. Has a good OPS, but middling BA. Expect him to repeat a full season of W-S in 2023 unless he just pops off and earns a AA promotion.
  3. Was moved up this year. He's now in Charlotte. He's been hitting for good average at every level this year, just hasn't christened AAA with a HR yet. .309 with .877 OPS and 21 HR over three levels. Could stand to walk more and K less, but that seems to be a common theme with young Latin-Caribbean ballplayers. Expect to see him prominently in the mix for the RF job in the Spring.
  4. Former CNN Anchor Bernard Shaw, 82
  5. The Athletic has the article. After the 2022-23 season.
  6. Mikhail Gorbachev, 91 Famous for Perestroika and was USSR chancellor when the Soviet Union fell.
  7. He's 30 at 200 right now, but if he crushes it for the next ten years, He could approach Thomas numbers.
  8. There are no players playing today worth a great investment, in my opinion. Baseball is too fluky and no one will reach the older stats levels because the game has changed. Holding a proverbial gun to my head, I'd say Aaron Judge would be the best bet. He's got huge large market hype and has the skills to hit 500+ and cement a HOF plaque.
  9. The biggest waste of a signing was Joe Kelly. The biggest financial waste was Lynn or Grandal - with Moncada nipping at the heels.
  10. It's the new She-Hulk series #1.
  11. I enjoyed the episode, but they needed to clean up their CGI a little.
  12. Middling, unspectacular results in Charlotte this season. Will be 26 on Sept 11. Colas may pass him as the #1 RF option next year - if they keep him in the organization.
  13. Only 17, playing in the Dominican Summer League this year. Could stand to work on his contact, but his batting eye is there. Power non-existent, but it should come.
  14. Was pretty sharp in Kanny, recently promoted to W-S. Could stand to walk less guys, but this guy is the future for the Sox in the rotation. Perhaps as soon as 2024.
  15. Hitting for power in Birmingham, but Ks a bunch with minimal walks. Could be 20-20 this year, but he needs to be more selective at the plate and walk more if he wants to be in the mix for RF in 2023/24.
  16. 26 year old, now reliever. Has been in multiple levels this year and still no control. Not sure how much longer he has left in the organization.
  17. Pitching decently well in Kanny this year, but he can't get his walks down.
  18. He's 22 - Succeeded at W-S, but has struggled in Birmingham. He has issues giving up hits, but if he can develop better off-speed control, he can be an MLB RP in a few years.
  19. 21 years old, but not really latching on with a roster. Spent some time at Kanny, but didn't produce. Last was seen at the Arizona complex.
  20. 25 now. Hitting much better in Charlotte this year, but not really part of the roster numbers game in Chicago, with so many other guys with better potential and experience,
  21. Underwhelming at 24 between W-S and Birmingham. Probably not part of the future of the team.
