  1. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Sep 3, 2015 -> 12:02 AM) Man when did half the posts on this board just become complaining? 2002 when they started the board.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2015 -> 03:15 PM) How do u change your personal info? Like my Rongey fan club label? I can remove it or change it to something different. If it's removed, you get a baseball related one as a default.

  5. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/mlb/gameda...e_state=Pregame Sale tries to figure out playoff-chasing Twins By Scott Merkin / MLB.com Chris Sale has a chance to win the American League Cy Young for the first time in his career. The talented southpaw also needs 71 strikeouts to reach 300 for the 2015 season. But with his trip to the mound Tuesday night at Target Field, the southpaw simply hopes to figure out the Twins in the series opener. Sale has made four starts against the Twins this season and has a 1-3 record with a 6.46 ERA. He has allowed 140 hits and 61 earned runs over 171 1/3 innings. Twenty-eight of those hits and 17 of the earned runs have come against the Twins. Tyler Duffey makes his fifth start and first against the White Sox. Minnesota, who is trying to chase down the Rangers for the second AL Wild Card, holds a 9-4 edge over the White Sox this season, including a 6-1 mark at Target Field. Things to know about this game • The Twins have outscored the White Sox by a 78-35 margin this season. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games with the South Siders, after losing two of the first three. • Erik Johnson, who has had a strong bounceback season for Triple-A Charlotte after a dismal 2014 with the White Sox and the Knights, figures to be one of the callups Tuesday when rosters expand. Johnson was scheduled to pitch Sunday for the Knights but was a late scratch, although he still is not expected to start for the White Sox in Minneapolis. • Sale's 229 strikeouts rank second in the Majors behind Clayton Kershaw's 236. They are the fifth-highest single-season total in franchise history. Scott Merkin is a reporter for MLB.com. Read his blog, Merk's Works, follow him on Twitter @scottmerkin and listen to his podcast. 6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 1, 2015 -> 12:32 PM) I do believe he was innocent He was acquitted but banned for not narc-ing on the others.
  7. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 05:23 PM) They lacked one then too. He was better early in his career. Really haven't had a good one since Torborg. Don't want the fossil from the Twins either. Modern thinking, please. Away In A Manger joke...
  8. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) They lack talent and a manger. They sent the manger away.
  9. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 02:20 PM) I wish more things had that kind of rule attached to it. Besides, if the people of Ohio really want something named after McKinley that badly, why don't they name their tallest mountain after him? Charles Campbell would say something if he wasn't already dead
  10. QUOTE (Dunt @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 10:51 AM) Shapiro takes Toronto's team president position. Hope everyone is ready for more Kenny. The guy that took his executive of the year award, takes his preferred job from him.
  11. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Aug 31, 2015 -> 01:45 PM) I won't be changing a thing. I'm brutally honest about the state of the White Sox. Of course, you can complain all you want. But, soon people will start to ignore your posts and you'll be talking to yourself. I know the season sucks and the people in charge have issues, but "venting" constantly does nothing but alienate you with other posters.
  12. Former Sox closer Addison Reed traded from Arizona to the Mets.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 30, 2015 -> 10:40 PM) Schwarber is pretty reminiscent of Erik Hinske... Kevin Maas
  14. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Aug 28, 2015 -> 08:59 AM) Is there a way to block/hide user avatars? Some of them are decidedly NSFW. My Controls > Board Settings > Do you wish to view members avatars when reading topics? Yes > No
  15. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 27, 2015 -> 03:49 PM) I should be getting a BB8 sent to me come next Thursday/Friday. A round Star Wars droid?
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 27, 2015 -> 03:41 PM) You came to Soxtalk to discuss the White Sox. I would imagine if one wanted to discuss the Cubs, they would frequent a Cubs message board. I wouldn't go to Cubstalk.com to tell everyone how great the White Sox are and hopeless the Cubs are unless I wanted to get under some skin. I just hope when people discuss the Cubs "success" they use the same criteria as they do the White Sox. As far as I can tell, "sustained success" has yet to occur at Clark and Addision. Obviously this is a Cubs catch all and the Cubs are going to be discussed. I even discuss them. I just think the poster that want to be Cubs fans on Soxtalk are just trolling. How about giving him and everyone else a break that enjoys all baseball teams and appreciates quality game play? There's nothing wrong with talking about the Cubs on any message board; even ours. It's a Sox board and a baseball sub-board. Last I checked, the Cubs were another baseball team deserving of discussion.
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 25, 2015 -> 08:57 PM) When you guys first got your driver's license, did you buy a car/did your parents get you one? Or neither I drove my parents car until I was in my early 20s. Broke college students with broke parents can't just get cars. I finally got a car of my own when I was 22.
  18. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 25, 2015 -> 11:10 AM) No It wasn't my kind of movie, I guess. I would have walked out of the theater if I had gone to see it.
  19. Watched Birdman last night. It was boring and pointless. I don't get why it was so lauded by critics and won awards. It was one of the dullest and most uninteresting films that I've ever watched. 1.5 stars out of 5.
  20. Playing 3B for the Sox. Hitting decently well.
  21. Out for the 2015 season with a fractured left fibula and ankle ligament damage. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/white-sox/...-for-the-season
  22. Up with the Sox August 3rd. Hitting fairly well as a second backup OF on the roster.
  23. Remember this article? http://m.mlb.com/news/article/124200124/jo...in-hall-of-fame Bold words if he has something to hide.
  24. This is just speculation, but I think that all NFL stadiums will be required to use field turf within the next ten years.
