  1. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 10:51 AM) Watched the first Dleague game yesterday night (on DVR) and thought Dougie looked good. Efficiently scored. Portis was a beast. Hard to watch though cause some of those guys went all chuck fest, still we played against a very good squad and looked good. Portis went mano e mano with Towns. Was wondering who that Felicio character was, he looked like a pretty good guy. I got to say though, I like Payne. Dude just looks like a nasty guy on the court. Doug looked good last year. He just wasn't ready to handle the big boys when it came to defense.
  2. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 10:46 AM) Sale needs to start as many times as possible if the Sox want to get back into the race. Recently, Samardzija, Rodon, and Quintana have all been very good. The issue has been run support.
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 09:25 AM) I turned Watchmen off after an hour. All visual style, no subtance for me. Pretty much the graphic novel. In the novel, Moore interspersed scenes with the boy at the newsstand and the pirate comic book story as a parallel to the action. You can't do that with a movie.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 09:52 AM) If people are bleak about our future, I can't imagine how they feel about the Tigers future. They are getting very old and expensive, very quickly. Some key wheels are also starting to see some wear. They're stuck with Verlander, Martinez, and Kinsler's salaries for awhile. Even Miggy's deal is going to be a problem if he keeps getting injured. He's only 32, but he has 12 MLB seasons on him already.
  5. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 13, 2015 -> 09:37 AM) Ok it's going to be a boring few days. Let's have some betting ideas! ESPY betting?
  6. I thought that Watchmen was really good. The comic just didn't translate well to a movie format.
  7. Roger Rees, 71. Known for Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Cheers, and Warehouse 13.
  8. The truck that I have right now is 15 years old with 150k on it. The car I owned before that, I sold when it was 19 years old and had 135k on it. I wish that I could just up and buy cars like everyone else, but I'm just not at that financial level.
  9. Actor extraordinare Omar Sharif, 83.
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 02:48 PM) Article According to Buehrle and this article, the Sox never offered him a contract when he hit free agency. This is a disappointment to me, why would the front office not even attempt to keep a guy like Buehrle who the city loved and also was still pretty damn good? I remember that. They didn't have any budget space for a contract that they knew that he was going to get offered. They took the money and signed Jose Abreu.
  11. HBP from last night's game looks like it's lingering.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 10:36 AM) We bought a new 2008 Jeep Liberty and it's been great for 7 years now, no major issues at all. Might as well get your water pump checked, it sounds like.
  13. Watched two movies over the last 3 days. American Hustle - Good retelling of the Abscam story, decent side stories. Enjoyed Christian Bale's character issues the most. He nailed that part - gained all of that weight, etc. I'd say 3.5 out of 5 stars. Wolf of Wall Street - Leonardo DiCaprio deserved an Oscar for this movie. Amazing acting and the inside life of a stock broker is certainly entertaining. 4 out of 5 stars.

Many Husky dogs enjoy being out of doors as well.
  15. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 8, 2015 -> 02:27 PM) I had one for six months. It was used but I had to bring it back to Carmax 3 times with water pump issues that they could never figure out what the problem was. After the third time I just demanded my money back. I wondered why you wanted one. It's a shame that the Chrysler 300 died so horribly.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 01:00 PM) many darwin awards were given away on Saturday The guy in Maine got his posthumously.
  17. I have a soft spot in my heart for the old X-Files TV show. That said, I just rented and watched the 2008 movie, X-Files: I Want To Believe, last night. What a waste of two hours. It was a rehash of the TV show but the plot wasn't that exciting, the story was thin, and the acting and characters weren't interesting. They made better one hour TV episodes than this movie. If you're going to make a feature film, at least get a good script. 1.5 stars out of 5.
  18. Seems to me that once he heals enough, he could just wear gloves with inserts in them and he'd be decent enough to continue in the NFL.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 10:07 AM) The strangest thing about Verlander is that he still is in the mid 90s with his fastball, he just doesnt have the command anymore. I wonder if that mysterious "core muscle injury" that happened two offseasons ago did a a lot more than anyone realized at the time Kate Upton is like Memo Paris.
  20. QUOTE (Douglas Rome @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 10:02 AM) how's 'bout this>>> fire RV, hire Ozzie, Sox win the pennant!!! thanks, douglas No thanks, douglas
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 08:05 AM) I thought it was on point satirically. Especially with the fight between the different "news" channels. Some of the gags weren't funny and too long. Like the shark thing was stupid. Lots could've been edited. For me, the news team fight scene felt forced and unfunny because it was like, "Oh, we should do it again, but make it bigger with more celebrity cameos!" It could have been left out and still have been a decent movie.
  22. Finally got around to watching Anchorman 2. I'd say it's 3 out of 5 stars. Not Oscar worthy or anything. It had a convoluted, weird plot; it had a lot of lame jokes and cameos that had me rolling my eyes. But, the one thing that it did actually succeed in doing, was that it actually make me laugh. It's the first movie in awhile that I actually laughed out loud at while watching. In fact, I laughed multiple times. It's a good rental if you enjoy dumb, goofy comedy and can handle stupid moments.

  24. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 1, 2015 -> 11:02 PM) I really liked all 3 Hungergames movies so far but I'm easily entertained. Aren't there 4?
