Savy is certainly driving me insane with some of his line combos...I say put Buf on the top line with Lang and Havlat or Toews and Kane and have Buf park his ass in front of the net. It would be much like when Vancouver had Gino Odjick on the line with Ronning and Bure....Odjick scored 30+ goals that season just by tipping in pucks fed to him. -

The shootout is fine...you still score 2 points to the winner and the loser goes off with nothing. All this giving points crap for losing is ridiculous anymore. If you lose you shouldn't be awarded anything. IMO -

I think the scoring system needs to get back to how it was. Win nets you 2, lose nets you zero no matter if its an OT loss its still a loss and if it ends in a tie then each get one. -

I read on one of the other Hawks boards that Richmond had emergency surgery to remove his spleen. He is out for the remainder of the season. -

Here is the latest I seen on this.... DEKALB, Ill. - The man who gunned down five people at Northern Illinois University in a suicidal rampage became erratic after halting his medication and carried a shotgun to campus inside a guitar case, police said Friday. The man, 27-year-old former student Stephen Kazmierczak, was also wielding three handguns during Thursday's ambush inside a lecture hall. Two of the weapons — the pump-action Remington shotgun and a Glock 9mm handgun — were purchased legally less than a week ago, on Feb. 9, authorities said. They were purchased in Champaign, where Kazmierczak was enrolled at the University of Illinois. The other weapons were still being traced. Gunman's father The gunman's father, Robert Kazmierczak, briefly came out of his house in Lakeland, Fla., to talk to reporters. "Please leave me alone. ... This is a very hard time for me," he said as he threw his arms up and wept. He declined further comment about his son and then went back inside his house, saying he was diabetic. Campus Police Chief Donald Grady said investigators recovered 48 shell casings and six shotgun shells following the attack in Cole Hall. The gunman paused to reload his shotgun after opening fire on a crowd of terrified students in a geology class, sending them running and crawling toward the exits. He shot himself to death on the stage of the hall. Kazmierczak, whose first name was earlier listed as Steven, was taking some kind of medication, Grady said. "He had stopped taking medication and become somewhat erratic in the last couple of weeks," Grady said, declining to name the drug or provide other details. Miscommunication Correcting information his office released earlier Friday, DeKalb County Coroner Rusty Miller said five students, not six, were killed in the rampage, in addition to the gunman. Miller said the higher victim total was the result of confusion over the fate of a patient taken to another county for treatment. "There was a miscommunication," Miller said.

Gun laws don't work for criminals....they will get the guns anyway. Only people they are disarming are your average civilians who will now become even easier prey for the criminals.

I think its more the fact the Roberts is a proven Lead off hitter, which the Sox don't really have. Unless you are counting on Owens...Cabrera is better suited to be a #2 hitter. Not to mention he is a solid 2b and speed and good range... but no the Sox couldn't use him. -

Hopefully we will get a look at Crawford soon.... The Canadian Press 2/14/2008 10:14:28 AM CHICAGO - Goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin sprained a knee during Chicago's 7-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday night and the Blackhawks have recalled Corey Crawford from the AHL's Rockford IceHogs. GM Dale Tallon also announced Thursday that forward Jack Skille has been assigned to Rockford. Montreal-born Crawford has appeared in 44 AHL games and has a record of 24-13-5 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.72 and a .911 save percentage. Crawford, 24, has appeared in two career NHL games for the Blackhawks, both during 2005-06. He was Chicago's second-round pick (52nd overall) in the 2003 entry draft. Jack Skille was recalled by the Blackhawks on Jan. 28 and had appeared in three games and did not score. This season with the Blackhawks, Skille has played in 16 games and has three goals and five points. The 20-year-old American was drafted seventh overall in 2005. -

QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 13, 2008 -> 07:31 PM) 100% correct. Playing professional hockey for a very nice salary in a great city should be plenty enough to make someone happy. Yeah but its never enough for the primadonnas though -

DT needs to get Hossa...not only to help the team offensively but to help Havlat get interested again. They were close friends in Ottawa..so who knows. Won't happen of course but a guy can dream right? -

Man Leighton...I thought that guy was going to be an awesome goalie. He was big and played the puck well. It seems like playing behind those bad bad Hawks teams killed his confidence and he never recovered. Another player I thought was going to be damn good was Sergei Krivokrasov, man that kid seemed to have all the skills but the Hawks had no idea how to use him since they were stuck in that "dump and chase" garbage system. Go figure the year they let him go he went to the Preds and became an all star and then pretty much disappeared after playing for a few other teams. -
I just wish it would end...I am sick of hearing about all this and there are so many bigger issues in the world to worry about than who was a doper.

So when are these checks suppose to be coming?
