Yahell is showing the Sox are leading in the 8th 11 - 8....

Any chance Ozzie is leaning to using Luis Terrero in CF instead of BA?? Personally I think he should leave BA alone and let the man play his game.
-
Yeah I meant for the season. Hopefully he will continue to improve with his approach and hopefully Ozzie will give him a fair shake this year to get ABs and play CF and get into a groove. It seems BA got a bit of a wake up call though.
-
I think if BA can hit .260+ and 10 to 15 HRs. I would be elated with that. His approach has improved alot thus far in ST. I think he will be much better than last season. Hopefully the Sox stick with the kid.

Now the Sox are looking at Lieber and Rowand?? Rogers seems to think so..... http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines

Broadway doing his best to try and let the A's back into this game.... -
Philly fans are insane....on ESPN boards they are saying the Sox would have to deal them Thornton and/or MacDougal...there is no damn way I would trade either of those to for ARow....I'd rather shoot for Rios as others have said.
-
The better Danks pitches, the more and more I think the Sox will be less likely to want to overpay to resign Buehrle....
-
I seen Rosenthal has an idea for KW. The Diamondbacks will probably look to trade Scott Hairston and/or Dave Krynzel, with no chance of Hairston hitting waivers. I'm rooting for Hairston, a talented player who has endured some terrible luck and timing. I think Kenny Williams should get on the phone with Josh Byrnes. They've completed several deals in the past together, and Hairston is a perfect fit for left field on the Sox.
-
This is another part of this story I just saw on MLBtraderumors, so TIFWIW of course but I would be pissed if MacDougal is included in this deal..... "Given that a Rowand for Scott Linebrink trade was seriously under consideration, I wonder if the Sox would have to surrender a closing-worthy reliever like Mike MacDougal to close the deal."

Levine reports Sox and Buehrle to talk
EvilJester99 replied to Harry Chappas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I seen this on WSI and had to share. I thought it was funny. -
Nah I believe as long as everything goes well its 6 to 9 months...so Wiz may be out a while. Just think its the same a Zues suffered and he may have been back this month sometime but now they won't push him since the Hawks aren't doing anything.

Levine reports Sox and Buehrle to talk
EvilJester99 replied to Harry Chappas's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Levine said he expects Buehrle's agent to ask for 4yrs @14 mill. He thinks KW will counter with 3yrs @ 14 with an option for a 4th. -
That is too bad about Wiz, he was one of the best young players esp. because they could move him around from D to Forward. He should be ready to roll by next season as long as the surgery is set right away. Best of luck to him!!

I will take Javy over Gil Meche or Jason Marquis anyday..... -
Seen this little tidbit in the Cubune.... As Tallon anticipated Monday evening, the Hawks lost Brian Boucher on waivers Tuesday morning to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

02/28/07: White Sox vs. Rockies Game Thread!

I am so hyped for some baseball!!! -
Just got home from the Red Wings game... its damn pathetic that it was almost like a Red Wings home game tonight. The Hawks looked terrible. Looked completely disinterested. I did however think Jason Williams played a pretty decent game. On the PP he was firing shots. So atleast he isn't afraid to shoot the puck and try to make things happen. Game got really ugly near the end.

A little surprising we dealt with the Dead Things... but its a good move none the less. Although giving up a 3rd rounder and Kuk for Calder is awful pricey.

TKACHUK HEADING TO ATLANTA. TSN.CA: Darren Dreger reports sources claim the St. Louis Blues have agreed to a deal that'll send Keith Tkachuk to the Atlanta Thrashers. However, the deal hinges on Tkachuk deciding if he'll waive his "no-trade" clause to go to Atlanta. He's apparently discussing it with his family. The swap "is believed to include a variety of draft picks, including a first rounder, as well as a player off Atlanta's roster." UPDATE: TSN now reports Tkachuk has agreed to waive the clause. Details on the return hopefully to follow soon. KUKLA'S KORNER: reports the return as follows: "Glen Metropolit, Atlanta’s 2007 1st round pick, 3rd round pick, a 2nd rounder in 2008. There is also a conditional pick based upon whether Tkachuk resigns in Atlanta or not"
