Take this for what its worth but Bruce Levine was saying this AM that KW was quoted as saying they are planning on having El Duque as the #3 starter... I think that would be a bad idea. He has the stuff no doubt to be a #3 but don't know if he will have that kind of endurance. I would say 150 innings at most for him...unless he shows he can deal with that. They should use El Duque as no more than a #4. IMO
I would bet the Sox would keep Willie as a utility type guy. He is young and not very expensive and has some good upside. It would be worth it to let him watch and learn somethings.
That is true because ESPN 1000 said something about once the sun goes down they have to power down due to FCC regulations or some BS like that... so many people to the west don't get ESPN 1000 anyway...
I am thinking a lot of the breaking news will start coming from the Snore...in their updates I noticed they were saying the "Comcast updates" well isn't that the station the Sox and others went too next year?? IIRC
I think considering El Duque came back from shoulder surgery 2 months ahead of schedule, I think one would have to expect his shoulder would get tired. Now with a full offseason of working out and rehab I bet he is much more ready. IMO
Sounds like a good idea... I for one would like to see him do it again to prove it wasn't a fluke...plus they will need him to do it again for the offense.
Thats what they said about Garcia as well.... I seen it last year a little but not too bad though. Contreras just needs to stop relying on the splitter so damn much. He needs to use his fastball more to set up the splitter...not the other way around.
I get the feeling Bruce doesn't want to talk about El Duque because he has been wrong so many times already... but as of yet I haven't heard a word about him from these 2 boobs.
I was wondering that as well... why the hell is Tony Larussa going to be at Soxfest?? Its been 20 years since he managed the Sox and isn't he managing the St.Louis Cards? Why would he want to do this for that matter?
