Rob Dibble just said that he thinks Contreras can and will win 20 games for the Sox. He also said he thinks all Contreras needs is a good pitching coach to help him. Take it for what its worth but it would be awesome if he does win 20!!!

To tell you the truth Uribe and Rowand seem about the same to me. Neither really walk but both have speed and power. I think Uribe bunts alittle better than Rowand does...but not by enough to matter. I think those 2 can be switched either way really but I think Rowand makes the bottom of the order a little stronger because of having men on base Rowand seemed to be pretty clutch...IIRC. Its just my thoughts though without really checking all the stats in the world on this.

Pods Uribe Dye Konerko Everett Rowand Crede Davis Harris I think this line up would give speed and versatility on the top and bottom of the order plus enough pop in the middle of it.

I think a lot of the considered success of this trade will really come down to what the Sox do with this money they saved. If they sign a good SP then I will be more inclined to say this is a good trade... now of course if they pocket this money Then its not as good of a trade.

I guess its a good thing KW doesn't work in NY... atleast good for him that is.

Hell for the most part you trade what you have to get Hudson. BMac, Anderson are a couple I would be ok with parting with... wether or not that would be enough who knows...but KW should atleast check it out. Plus the Sox have a ton of young arms in Diaz Adkins Cotts....I am sure KW could come up with a good enough package for Hudson... hell he was ready to give up a ton for Randy Johnson and I don't think it will take anywhere near that much to get Hudson because Beane realizes he will probably have to part with one of the big 3 anyway..... Of course its easy for me to spend someone elses money though

I say let it ride until this all works out because there is more than likely another move or 2 coming out of this.

Like I said in another thread.... go and get Hudson and sign him to an extension.

They also said on MJH that the Sox saved nearly 7 million in this deal... if thats true I hopeful there will be more news coming soon. JMO

They said the Sox may have saved up to 7 million with this trade.. the next thing I want to hear is the Sox just traded for Hudson and signed him to an extension... I am not sure about this trade. Pos gives the Sox somethings they have needed...speed and smart base running. I hate losing CLee's power but he was a total idiot on the bases...this will take some time to digest
